Connected! BUT CANT CONNECT?!



I left Netflix on all night, come back 2 my xbox one, it starts glitching so I close Netflix.

It then prompts me to Connect to XBOX Live, as soon as I click there (FAR RIGHT) it says!!! You're connected!, I got to test network connection or test mulitplaer connection, it says YOU'RE
CONNECTED!, when I go back to dashboard to play a game or send a message it says, Connect to XBOX Live! (On The far right)

I can reset, go offline online, wireless wired, I've tried everything, reset power bar, it still says I need to connect to xbox live? but it says I'm connected?

Hey boomer, very sorry to hear about this issue! Okay, have you had a chance to try resetting your network hardware since getting the adapter? You can reset your modem and router by unplugging power to both for about 15 seconds. When restoring power, plug
the modem in first, and then wait for all of the lights on the modem to come up. When those are all active, plug in the router. Once those lights are flashing normally, go ahead and run a LIVE connection test on the console.

If you've already tried that, then let's try resetting the console's network settings to default, and then reconfigure the network with that new adapter in mind. When you're done, please do post an update!



Reset network settings to default:

• Go to the Settings hub.
• Select System.
• Select Network Settings
• Select your network.
• Choose Configure Network Settings.
• Scroll to the Additional Settings tab.
• Choose Restore to factory defaults.

 

i am connected but cant stay connected

I have an xbox s and have been using the internal wifi to pick up signal from my router but unfortunately the signal was weak. I went out and bought the network "n" adapter and now im getting full signal. The only problem im having is when i am connected
then get disconnected, the only way to get reconnected is to go to the consoles network settings and disconnect from my network and run Test My LIVE Connection...i have to do this EVERY time i get disconnected from xbox or during play a message will come up
"connection interrupted". I have had to do this both before and after i bought the network "n" adapter. The adapter has helped the signal tremendously but the problem above hasnt changed.

There is an ongoing issue with Xbox Live in which some people cannot sign in. I would check
support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status every 30 minutes for updates regarding the status of Xbox Live until the issue is resolved. I understand why you feel upset over this issue as
I cannot sign into my gamertag on my Xbox One right now due to this issue.
