Connect XBox1 to PC - no TVs available

I have

Xbox1s

Good internet service

Windows 10 PC

but no TV

Is there any way to get the XBox to play on the PC?

I keep finding all the answers saying 'go to settings, find IP address' etc but of course I cant see any of that coz I dont have a TV, just a monitor

I do have a HDMI slot in the monitor

Any help appreciated, I am in lockdown and bored to death

And it worked

All set up to play

Going for Tomb Raider Shadow of the whatever

Yes!!!

Just switched the input source, on the monitor itself, and up popped the Xbox

I thought that

do I need to shut down the PC? The video from PC to monitor is a VGA cable

I think you can leave both the cable and just change the input on the screen
