Connect Xbox one to TV with RCA jack

You need a HDMI-to-RCA converter box, just the cable alone wont work, the signal needs to be converted and amplified to be sent to your old TV.

The reliability of converter boxes is spotty. Its not just the digital to analog conversion it also HDCP issues. Honestly you can pick up 32 inch tvs pretty cheap now so it might be a better option to just buy a new tv.

I'm in the same boat pal. My speakerset only supports analog audio, so here's what I'm going to do: Connect the Xbox One to the tv, connect a 3.5mm jack cable to my tv's headphone port, and the other end into my 3.5mm jack to RCA splitter, which is connected

If your Xbox 360 and TV are connected via HDMI, the headset's RCA splitter cable (included) will need to be connected to 'AUDIO OUT' jacks on the back of your TV.

Not all TV's have AUDIO OUT jacks. You may check the specifications of your TV online or in the manual to determine if it has stereo AUDIO OUT. Alternatively, you may connect the headset directly to a headphone jack on your TV if it has one.

If your TV does not have AUDIO OUT jacks or a headphone jack, you will need the Ear Force Xbox 360 Audio Adapter Cable.

Yes, if the regular headphones are getting sound from the headphone jack of the tv, the 3.5mm to RCA adapter should work for getting sound to your turtle beaches. You probably already checked for audio out RCA jacks on the back of the tv?
