connect with friend and play

why cant I connect with my friend and play nba2k14 with them? we have been trying for weeks and we cant seem to connect to a server and play against eachother???? need help pls

Locked: Keep getting disconnected on Xbox Live, cannot stay connected long enough to join games.

having the same problem with left for dead two! I can join and play quick matches but cant connect to a party to play with my friend, says cant connect to party xbox servers may be down? But I can still play just not with my friend in party and watching
netflix right now! Ran the test everything was good?

I can't. play in the same lobby as one of my friends.

I have trouble playing in same lobby as my friends.

When my friend is on cant play with him. His wife whom is on the same internet, i can connect. and play with but not the husband.

If my group of friends are playing together he cant be in the same lobby and vice versa. it always say unable to connect. to parties game.

Probably nat issue, both of you are on moderate on strict NAT, 1 of you needs to open the NAT and you will be able to play.

Go to settings -> network settings -> test xbox live and multiplayer and tell us the results for example whats the NAT open moderate strict

We need to know the router model/manufacturer.

Your account: Dad's Xbox as home

Friend's account: Your Xbox as home

You will be able to play your own games but only when connected to the Internet.

You will be able to play your friend's games at anytime.

Your dad will get access to all your games (Yours only, not your friend's too) and can be played at anytime.

Your friend will be able to play only his games and must be connected to the Internet.

This could be because your NAT type is on strict. Try to go to setting>network>>test connection. Test and see if your connection working properly as many people are having issues with NAT types lately. This may also be on your friend's side on the connection
and not yours so I suggest looking into it as well. If you NAT type is on strict, then search the support section and you'll find plenty of ways to try and fix that. If none of those methods work, then hopefully a support person on here will answer with a
better solution. Good luck
