  1. Connect two consoles with router with no internet access

My friends an I (4 people) are looking for good multi-player games, we both have Terraria now and are dead set on all of us playing it. I was wondering if you could wired connect the xbox 360's to a router that is not connected to the internet and start
up a local game and connect them with that. I'll repeat the main part, two xboxe 360's connected with a wired connection that has no internet access to create a local game. Is it possible or not, or does no one have any information? If no one has any information
by the 17th I will try this one my own( will suck disconnecting a lot of stuff and taking it to a another town for a test) and post these results here. Thanks for anyone who views/ replies to this topic. Connect two consoles with router with no internet access :)

p.s. Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere or I posted in wrong location of forums.

    :)

    Strict Nat problems

@FIZZYPUTMAN LP - You can't manually configure port forwarding with network ports used for Xbox Live, by having multiple Xbox consoles connected to the same router NAT Internet connection.

Is your Asus rt-ac3200 up-to-date with the latest version of firmware?

Do you still have your Asus RT-N66U router (main router). If so, there's an option which I do think will work as a solution to your situation.

Your remaning two RT-N66U routers, are these two properly configured as access points?

Do you have the option to somehow bypass your two access points, and connect both of your consoles directly to your main router?

    What is Xbox LIVE?

Xbox LIVE provides you with the most amazing entertainment experience through the Xbox 360 console. You can download and play games, get instant access to a large collection of games and music, and connect with your friends.

    Wireless connection

You can connect your Xbox 360 console to Xbox LIVE without the need for any network cables. There is a wireless network in place that your Xbox 360 console can use.

    Requirements
    • An Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter (only available with the original Xbox 360 console).
    • A wireless access point, gateway or router that is compatible with Xbox LIVE.
    • High Speed Internet connection, preferably DSL or cable.

Note: It is not advisable to use Satellite, 3G or 4G mobile connections due to the possibility of slow performance or lag.

Sure, its called LAN(local area network) or System Link. If you just want to hook up two Xboxes with a single Ethernet cable you can, you could also hook more up together with a router. But there are only certain games that can use system link.

  5. That's true, we did system link with diablo 3 and ROS, but with Terraria the system link isn't possible, so I thought that maybe I could connect them with a router as a "internet alternative" making the xbox 360's think that they are connecting through internet.

Xbox series x won’t stay connected to internet. Just bought today brand new out of the box

So is your issue is with connecting to the router, or is it connecting to the internet? Its possible to connect perfectly to a router but not have internet access. So rule that out for us.

I wonder if your ethernet port is physically loose/defective.

If its connecting to the router just fine but not the internet, than the console may not be the problem.
