    Connect to xbox only to lag in and out


    Having latency (108ms), packet loss (7%), slowed up speed(.56Mbps should be 4Mbps) and down speed (12.87Mbps should be 60Mbps) issues only with xbox live servers. I have tried; NAT (Open), clearing cache and recovering profile, power-cycling modem/router,
    opening ports, checked for bad cables, checked for bad ports on modem/router, even contacted ISP (everything checked out to be okay), and did a traceroute and it came back with 94ms latency while connecting to MS servers. More info below to see if you can
    help with problem.

    Modem brand & model number: SMC Networks SMCD3GN

    Router brand & model number: same as modem

    How many consoles do you have connected to this router?: 1

    Wired or wireless (for each console): wired

    Things you have tried: Noted in beginning of post

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: No, NAT is Open

    Is UPnP Enabled?: Yes

    Any Error Codes you encounter: not while signing in, but staying connected it will disconnect and reconnect me n boot me in and out of parties as well as kick me out of games.

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?: Charter Communications

    Disconecting from xbox live

    Hey there, my xbox live connection isn't very good, I only have one bar on my router when i look at it form the xbox connection test. When i connect to xbox live it takes me form 10-20 secondsly to connect. Someitmes it does even let me connect to xbox live.
    When i connect to xbox live I can rarely connect to the ea servers and when i do i can barely play a game of fifa. I also lag out of parties and xbox live frequently(every 5-10 mins). I can not then connect for another 10 mins. Please help!!!

    Lag on every game for 2 years. HELP NEEDED!

    Sorry it took so lonv and i didnt try your method but what i did was connect my xbox to the modem and... No lag, yeah happines. BUT, if im mot able to connect both my router and xbox at thesame time to the modem. So i can have no lag or internet but my parents
    want internet so i have connect my router to the modem, so back to lag.

    What does this mean: should i buy a better router since(wired to router = lag, wired to modem=no lag) or is there a way to connect my router AND my xbox to the genexis modem at thesame tim

    Xbox 360 lagging out of certain games

    If you are only lagging out of Destiny and disconnecting from Xbox live and getting he hawk error, that means it's Destiny not your xbox or ISP, but if you are lagging out of other multiplayer online games as well it's most likely your internet connection.

    I have been in obvious lag switch games in MW2 and everyone but the lag switcher lags/ freezes. Uneasy is correct. If only 1 or 2 lag it's not a lag switch. It's bad connection.

    well, that was only my laptop's upload speed because my laptop was old. im not sure how you can find the xbox upload speed and its not only me that keeps lagging out of games and out of party chats and rejoining them, my neighbor is too and its been happening
