    Hello

    I bought last week fifa 2014, and im trying to connect to ea servers,

    but fails all the time.

    Do I need xbox live gold subscription to connect to ea servers ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I'd jump into connected franchise myself the EA servers weren't so sh*t. I've lost count of the number of games that I've had to restart because I've lost connection to the EA Servers.

    Connect to ea servers

    You do need a gold account to play online.

    Most E.A. games online also require an E.A. origin account
    profile.ea.com/acctcreate.do

    You also need to be aged 13 years or over to play E.A. games online.

    I understand that I need gold account to play online,

    but if I dont a have a gold account will I have a problem to connect to ea servers ?

    will I get an error connecting to it ?

    Not 100% sure but i believe so.

    I've always been gold so it's not something i've experienced first hand.

    this is from a offical 'Ea' help website

    Linking Your Gamertag, PSN ID, or EA Classic Screen Name

    Your Gamertag/PSN ID, PSVita Online ID, and EA Account should be correctly linked when you first access an EA game online.

    We recommend checking your Origin account to see if the emails are matching.

    If the email address for your Gamertag/PSN/PSVita ID is different than the one for your Origin account, you will require assistance to properly link them.

    This can be done by contacting an EA Game Advisor. On the contact page, you will have to log in into your EA account. Once you have done this, please fill in the Product, Category and Platform fields to contact us.

    this is not a problem on your end, it is EA that is the problem. EA forces us to use their servers and EA drops old games from their servers in favour of newer ones that are played more. also sometimes their server is crapping out with so many connections.
    so when you boot the game its connects through live first then connects to EA...and boom!!! disconnect issues (but your still connected to live)

    A very long time ago with an ea it game it asked if i wanted to link my account ea account i said no ever since then i cant connect to the ea server i simply get "Log in failed, unable to connect to EA servers"

    This happens often when you lose contection to EA servers, as ReproductioN pointed out. I have been having problems connecting to EA servers myself, I guess EA are preparing server space for BF3.
