    Connect live account to email


    I received an email for this new rewards so I figured I would sign up. The email is connected to my live account and when I signed up on Microsoft it said I didn’t have an account and I needed gold. But it got sent to me because of my account. It’s telling
    me to create a new one. How do I connect it to my gamer tag?

    My gamer tag is EliteSnipingAce if that helps at all

    Have you got this resolved? My sister just got an Android and is having a similar issue. We wrote on the tech support forums and are just waiting for a response. I guess I'll give Live a call tomorrow if I can't figure it out soon. We both use my sister's free account so we are having the same problem. So frustrating.

    I've had a live account for years now but when I set it up I used my gmail email. I also have an local free profile for my wife that I set it up using my Live.com email account. My wife's account doesn't have a Live gold pass so it's just a free local account. Recently I signed up for a xbox Live Music pass about a month ago and I've been enjoying it so far (gmail account)....so to the Issue.
    I just got a new Windows phone. All sync'd up and working with my live email account. My music pass though is not showing up for my Live account so I can't sync up my playlist and such. There is also no option to "log in" to your music pass as it uses the account the phone is already setup with which is my Live account.

    So how do I switch my music pass to be associated to my Live account? I've been trying for hours to just delete my Wife's free profile account so I can remove my Live email association but I can't figure out how. I do know that I'll have to change my XboxLive account name which is cool with me. But when I try to switch my account over it says My email that I want to use is already in used by a Xbox profile (Yeah, my wifes').

    You can only have 1 account linked to an email address at a time. Each account would need it's own email in order to sign into Live. So if the second account had never connected to Live, it either didn't have an email address connected to it, or it had a
    different email.

    On the 360, each account has to have it's own gold subscription in order to play online.

    Hi there what I would do is remove the unknown account and try adding yours. If you do not know your info you will need to try doing an account recovery again. If you dont get anywhere with that the only thing I can suggest is contact microsoft support
    and see if you can request a call back or something. Sorry I couldnt be much more help and I hope you are safe and well.

    for an email account to be fully connected to your xbox live account, it has to be a windows live email, e.g. @live.co.uk or @hotmail.co.uk, without a windows live account you may not be able to gain full access to your account because some emails will not
    send and you may have other issues aswell

    You don't need to pay to have a LIVE account. Here's the breakdown:

    Local Account - created on the console, never connects to LIVE, if deleted it is gone forever, I don't believe this requires an email

    Free LIVE Account - also called "silver" accounts, no fee required, connected to LIVE servers, can be recovered later, has a unique WLID (email) attached

    Gold LIVE Account - paid for, allows for online and LIVE features, connected to LIVE servers, can be recovered later, has a unique WLID (email) attached

    However, after reading your post again, you say that your sons' accounts are on your Friends List? This would suggest they are LIVE accounts, and thus should have their own unique email addresses tied to them.

    I'd like you to look at the son's account that is still on the console for a minute. Log into this account, go to Account Management, and look under WLID. Check out the email address that is there. This is this accounts unique WLID. I assume it is different
    from your email address? Maybe this will help you in remember the other son's WLID as well?
