Connect Centurylink Prism OneGuide - Need Model # that works

Hi,

I had my xbox controlling turning on/off my direcTV just fine, but just switched to CenturyLink Prism and it cannot find the model, or detect it on its own. The model on the box says IPW8000. I know when I had the DTV one I ended up using a different model
number and it worked, was wondering if anyone knew which one to search for for their prism box.

Centurylink Prism wrong Oneguide lineup

I have Centurylink Prism TV, but when I enter my zipcode ([Mod Removed]) for OneGuide setup, it does not list Centurylink Prism as a cable/satellite provider. Any suggestions?

 

CenturyLink Prism missing for postcode 98004 programming

CenturyLink Prism is a fairly new service starting for 98004 (Bellevue, WA) postcode.

Please update your database for this post code and add this provider to the OneGuide database.

I had to find another postcode to get CenturyLink Prism listed. (Naples, FL post code) to get a OneGuide similar to what I wanted.

However my local channels are obviously not listed correctly.

Looking forward to simple and speedy resolution to this issue.

Having taken a look around a few websites some say that the code for that model also works for the model you have.

 

Unfortunately, the only ones that come up are VIP1200, VIP1216, and VIP1232 and none of those work.

 

I had a poke around and apparently the Prism is a Motorola unit converted for use with various cable companies etc. Try any Motorola/ AT&T/ U-Verse options that you may have on the Xbox.

I don't actually use the Prism myself so cannot validate what others say will work.

 

If all else fails you can use the link below that shows you to report missing device codes etc using your Xbox if you wish.

Thanks! After selecting AT&T Uverse there was an IPH800S like you suggested before and that worked. Voice command for pause works now and that's good enough for me. Just cause I'm here and you're awesome, the one guide tv lineup doesn't have centurylink
listed as an option, so yelling at it to go to a specific channel takes me on an adventure to like SD pioneer shows and shopping networks. Is there a work around for not having the correct provider listed?

 

Note: I did submit a missing provider through the xbox one troubleshooting menu already, so if not, no big deal.

 

At least something is working which is a start.

If you use the link in my previous post above you can use the tools on the Xbox to provide feedback regarding missing providers etc.

 

Cross posted, right now you may just need to sit it out until your provider is added to the list.
