Connect a hard drive

It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive. Try removing the hard drive and putting it back in and make sure it's seated properly. If that doesn't work, then remove the hard drive and use
a USB Flash Drive. If it works with that then it's possible that your hard drive or hard drive connection is bad.

This may actually be a problem with connecting to the internal hard drive, this is something I'd encountered on the Xbox 360 a few times and it was due to a loose connection to the hard drive or it could also be due to a failed hard drive which would require
replacement. If possible take your system to a local Microsoft store and have them check the hard drive connection and test the hard drive functionality.

I'm curious as to how you put your profile onto the hard drive. If you have connected the hard drive to your PC to do that it could well be the data got corrupted on the hard drive. It's really not a good idea to connect an xbox hard drive to a PC at all.

Have you got a hard drive connected to your console? Try removing it and then sign in without the hard drive connected and see what happens!
