Confusing, infuriating, and system breaking "Sync/Soft Lock" Bug - April 2019

So there is a bug that I've been getting that is making my Xbox unplayable, I don't know what causes it (because it happens randomly ALL the time in various scenarios) but essentially what happens is my Xbox "freezes" but not really. It will still function,
if I'm moving in a game my character will still move continuously, and it plays sound still as well. Although not through my headset. My headset and my controller are both on, but there's no function. I can press all the buttons but nothing happens, my headset
still plays my voice feedback but nothing else, I've tried too many things to list trying to fix the problem, but this soft freeze or sync issue whatever, happens to me constantly, even before I turn my controller or headset on. I just have no idea what to
do, and I don't want to have to drop $300+ on a new Xbox. I have the original Xbox one, so maybe it's just a personal matter, maybe it's just old. I don't know but any help would be appreciated.

Hey there Nombro,

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this weird issue.

I know you said that you've tried more things than you care to list, but knowing what has already been tried would definitely help us hopefully get to the bottom of what's up with the console.

Have you by any chance tried any factory resets of the console? If you have tried a bunch of things already and your network is alright, then I would try one of those, first the soft reset to see if that works, and as a last resort the full factory reset.

The soft one is a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have
easy access to your internet network. Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games
&
apps.

Try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account

They're both bugs in my eyes. Done Unlocking means that the achievement is stuck syncing with Xbox servers. I see that as a problem in the system. Do 100% Locked achievements unlock by themselves? I'm sure only Xbox staff will know the true answer.
