Confused is a 5.1 patch going to come

Iv been looking on the turtle beach forums about the adaptor and a guy asks about the 5.1 patch and he gets a answer that's kinda confused me. Hi, I have completed the 3 steps to get a FREE Xbox One Headset Adapter for the Ear Force Phantom but I have
a question. When my adapter arrives after March 1, 2014 will I still be listening in Stereo if the Dolby Digital 5.1 patch is not in the next major update. I ask this because the next Gen XO Seven and XO Four Headsets use the adapter for game and chat audio.
Will the Phantom game audio be coming from optical and chat via the adapter or both game chat audio coming from the adaptor. If the game chat audio is coming from the adapter will there be a firmware update for the Phantom. Thanks! This is he reply I have
contacted EB Games where my point of sale is and here is the latest info: EB Games were not told prior to launch day DD5.1 would be dropped. The latest information from Microsoft to EB Games is DD5.1 is unlikely to be supported. EB Games apologises for the
inconvenience this has caused it's customers. The XO Seven Headset is incorrectly advertised on the EB Games website as "Cinematic Dolby® Digital Surround Sound" and needs to be reviewed. The Xbox One is not refundable and my only option is to trade it in.
Best advice at this stage is to pre-order a PS4 for February shipment in Australia.

Dolby Digital and patch notes in general

Is there any word on when Dolby Digital 5.1 via optical out is going to be patched and also is there any were you can see patch notes when patches come out?

 

Still no Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround after update

I've got my system set to DTS surround and everything that is coded for 5.1 sound comes out in 5.1. If you are watching TV or Netflix and the show you are watching is only encoded for DD stereo, that's what you're going to get regardless.

When I watch Top Gear on Netflix, it comes out in stereo, but when I'm playing Forza 5, I get 5.1

Dolby Digital was added as a sound option in the march patch preview, so it is coming.

 

Ghost? How old is that thread? he is talking ordering for a Feb release in Australia ... his thread might be in response to the LAST patch we got on the X1 weeks ago.. not the one due in a week...
