Confused about Xbox Game Pass for PC

New to Game Pass on PC. Recently picked it up because of the 3 months for $1 offer. I'm otherwise a PS and PC player, but Xbox's E3 showcase caved me in a bit. I signed up and have the app for PC but I find that there's only 70-ish games available for PC, most of which are older and indie type games. Am I missing something or is there a specific category of games where I have access to the larger library of games that are available? I don't have an Xbox of any type and haven't had one since I replaced my Xbox 360 for a third time back when it was still a new console for the RRoD.

So I guess specifically, do I need an Xbox get the most out of Game Pass? Is there other categories of games that work on PC through Game Pass that aren't shown when in the "All PC Games" category?

I'm not a fan of Xbox by any means and dislike the controller, so buying a console is not likely in the least bit, but if I had access to a wider selection of games on PC, then I would be likely to keep the membership as it includes the EA Play membership which I was paying separately for.

and just discovered some games, like fallout3 and new vegas downloads are 43GB in size as it actually installs 5 copies of each game for each of the 5 supported languages lol, just updated another thread with it. you can manually delete the other installed versions but we shouldn't have too. its insane wasting peoples bandwidth and storage space like this. wonder how many more games are like this.

I also noticed that going to different categories just has multiple copies of the same games from other categories. What I'm looking for is pretty much a list that says "Here's every game you can play or access via PC when signed up for Game Pass" and then it lists everything on one page. If it includes EA Play stuff then cool. Bethesda stuff I'm not worried about as I've got pretty much every Bethesda game through Steam already.

So what brought me here was the pain in the rear that NieR Automata is on Steam. I seen it was available on Game Pass for PC and there were a few other games I wouldn't have mind trying, plus the addition of adding my EA Play sub to Game Pass was decent as well. Now when I go to 'All PC Games' through the Xbox app they have you download, NieR Automata isn't listed as a PC Game. I'm sure it's not EA Play or a Bethesda game, so I'm wondering why it says it's available online for PC via Game Pass, but in the actual app it's not listed?

Thanks for the reply. I was concerned because looking at the subscription models available, it says 100+ games available for Game Pass PC, but I only seen 74 games, and I think 6 are leaving the catalog very soon. I wondered if cloud gaming was separate or had more games, but sounds like beta access is required. I did Stadia and Amazon Luna betas and game streaming is terrible right now even though I have gigabit internet speeds via fiber connection. Even PS Now which has been out for awhile runs terribly on fiber.

I guess I'll let my trial period run for the 3 months, but kinda disappointed there isn't actually over 100 games available for PC.
