    Confused about Buying DLC for Game Pass Games


    Sorry in advance, I'm sure this is a pretty basic question. My son recently got the Xbox Series S and Game Pass. One of the games he is into is Injustice 2. He wants to unlocked the additional characters that you get in the DLC. I'm confused how buying the DLC works for Game Pass games. Would he just buy the characters normally from the Xbox store or can he only buy the DLC if he owns the game outright? If he buys the DLC characters but they take the game out of the Game Pass, would he have to buy the game plus the DLC or would there be some record that he had already bought the DLC. Thanks!
