Configuring XBOX-One Elite Controller on Windows 10

Is there a way to download the Configuration-App (or preferable a normal program) manually?

I uninstalled the Windows - Store the day I upgraded from Windows 8.1.

XBox Elite Controller app?

Does anyone know where to find the app for configuring the Xbox elite controller? I've searched using the XBox and Windows and nothing works.

Hey tobidererste,

Are you speaking of the Xbox Accessories app? Just search for "Xbox Accessories" in the Windows 10 Store and you can use that app to configure your Elite controller for your Windows 10 device.

Hey Hammer,

Thanks for your reply. As I am using Win10 Desktop-Only, I did not see the need for an App-Store and I very much disliked the use and feel of the Store.

So I uninstalled it via Powershell. Is there a way to install the Accessories-App w/out Store? Powershell is a Packetmanager by itself, right?

Or do I have to reinstall the Windows-Store just to download the Accessories-App (Not sure right now if this is done via Powershell too).

Having an official Download-Location where I can just retrieve the App would be awesome.

Hey Hammer,

unfortunately this link ist associated with the Windows Store, so it just does nothing on my Win 10. I tried to manually copy the corresponding app files from another computer over and registered them. Which kinda worked, but the apps crash after starting.
I tried even to register the Windows Store this which crashed also.

But I found a workaround:

As the controller saves the config itself, I installed the XBOX-Accessories App on another Windows 10 - Box (with working Store) and configured the controller from there. Saved configs remain in the controller and I can live with that behavior. Maybe the
Anniversary will fix the Store und I will certainly make a backup of the corresponding files when uninstalling it again.

Configuration for the Elite Controller can only be done on windows 10. It's not compatible with windows 8.1.

Thanks for keeping us updated with your reply. Since you have updated your PC to the latest Windows build, if you're having trouble

updating the Elite controller using the Xbox Accessories app, then there may be an issue with the app itself if it isn't allowing you to update the controller. You may wish to run the App troubleshooter to see if there may be something with the app itself
that requires a "fix". Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store

In regard to configuring your Elite controller, you would need the Xbox Accessories app for that as well: Use the Xbox
Accessories app to configure your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller

If you continue to experience issues updating or configuring your Elite controller using your Windows 10 PC, then you may need to attempt to do so from a different PC or an Xbox One console.

I hope that this helps a bit more and please let us know the results.

Hello

The Elite controller saves up to 2 configurations on the controller itself so the paddles should work with your configuration whether it's connected to your console or pc. You might of accidentally tapped the Sync button twice which disables the paddles
on the back.

Also you require the Xbox App in order to remap the Elite controller, it's available on Windows 10 which you can get for free if you have a legitimate version of Windows 7 or 8
