Configuring PC Headset to the Xbox One

So my cousin just gave me his sades-708 and i was wondering what else i would need besides the headset adapter for it? It has two plugs, i was thinking an rca splitter but don't know if that's enough.

External hard drive issues

Can you try hooking the hard drive to your pc and then format it there before configuring it on the Xbox One?

Xbox one headset on PC

Can anyone tell me if the xbox one headset (this one Xbox One Chat Headset kaufen – Microsoft Store de-DE) works fine on a PC ?

I always used the X360 headset on my PC so i´m guessing this one will work fine too, but i wanna be sure before buying the headset.

Chances are if it was not designed to work with the Xbox One that it will not work regardless of what adapters you buy. There are only specific headsets that are compatible that worked with Xbox 360.

Standard PC headsets use twin three section jack plugs (green for audio, pink for mic), Xbox One headsets use a different configuration and use a four section jack plug going directly into the controller .

I have this headset, you have to use the optical/SPDIF connection and a headset adapter with the wire to the headset for the mic to work. You will need to use the USB connection only to power the Soundblaster wireless unit. With the headset configured
this way it is the same as if the XBoxOne were hooked up to a digital stereo receiver.

Verify your system's audio settings are set for Optical use, you can gather how to do this from here:

support.xbox.com/.../configure-audio-settings

Other things to consider are: make sure you have a good charge, the wireless syncs up with the headset, you may need to toggle the switch PC for this configuration.

if you are still having issues please test the headset with another device such as an iPhone/iPod (yes it will work with 3.5mm Optical) or a PC.
