Configured USB drive not appearing

Hello, i configured a PNY compact USB drive for my 360 and was able to load saves from the console. I bought a new vonsole and it is asking me to reconfiger the USB drive again. All of my saves are not showing and im not understanding the problem if it was
able to load on another 360. This is very unnerving as not all of my saves are backed up on another device (since it was working just fine before). I got no error message formatting the drive. Help?

I would use a Xbox 360 Flash Drive from SanDisk.its a pre-configured Xbox 360 Flash Drive from SanDisk. This official Xbox 360 USB Flash Drive by SanDisk is pre-configured to work with the Xbox 360 console.

Correction. I was able to load saves from the USB drive. When i selected the USB drive as the saves to load on various games it worked just fine. This tells me the saves are fine my new console is just not recognizing it.

 

The USB drive was 32GB so it was within the storage space limit on USB drives.

 

Sorry for the confusion I was typing this on my phone. The PNY 32GB flash drive was already formatted to a Xbox 360 S and I had transferred saves onto it. After transferring the saves I ensured that the Xbox could read the saves back from the USB drive by
loading saves from it rather than the hard drive. After getting my new xbox I tried to plug in the USB drive and it is asking me to reconfigure the USB drive again. Are all of my saves gone and if so why was it able to read from the USB drive to begin with
if it was not working?

 

It helps to mention what kind of new console you got? Did you get a Xbox One if so the games and saves won't work as it isn't backwards compatible with Xbox 360 Games.

 

I mentioned it was a 360. Also said "another 360" implying pretty clearly that they are both 360. Context clues friend.

 

hi, I had something similar happen to me, unfortunately no matter what I tried the thumb drive had become corrupted and all the info on it was gone. I was able to confirm this when I plugged it into a pc and it asked to format just as on my Xbox 360 original.
if however you are able to browse the contents of ur drive at issue u might be able to copy that info to a new USB drive that has already been formatted for use on an Xbox.

do note that when looking at contents of Xbox formatted drive you will not see a list of files or saves but I think they are volumes or very large files that represent the size of the Xbox USB drive, these are the ones you would need to copy. ( but not
sure that this would work)
