    concerns with redeeming a code for Xbox Live Gold


    I buy New Xbox from US and bring to India. configured and dwnled free game came along. While try run the game it asks for Live GOLD

    Redirect me to enter code, I used 1 month free subscription came with , but after entering the key, it says code already redeemed.

    checked with XBox Support chat ... the said they can also see this key got redeemed already... not can not do anything.... ridicules...

    Hey there Wulkanista!

    Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to get your trial code redeemed.

    You should be able to redeem the trial code anywhere you can redeem a regular subscription code (online, or through consoles). However I just wanted to add that it's important to note that trials will not work if you have already had a subscription to Live
    ever before.

    I can't launch free with gold games

    When you try to access Games with Gold, make sure you're using the gamertag that has the Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. If you redeemed a promotional Xbox Live Gold code as
    part of your subscription, you won't be eligible for Games with Gold. If you used a prepaid code to sign up for Xbox Live Gold, make sure it was successfully redeemed.

    Did you redeem the code on the Xbox 360 console? If you did, I would suggest redeeming the code on your computer.

    You can redeem all types of prepaid codes, including Xbox gift cards, Xbox Live gold cards, and Xbox Music Pass cards, on a computer and have them applied to your account immediately. Here’s how:

    1. Go to www.xbox.com

    2. Sign in

    3. Go to the "Xbox Live Gold" tab and click "Redeem Code"

    That's it! Your Gold membership will be applied instantly.

    Keep in mind that you can't redeem trial codes (for 48hours or 14days of Xbox Live Gold) if you currently have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription.
