Concern with resetting console

Hello,

We have been having trouble accessing our games on xbox one for about a week now. I am referring to the online ones like The Sims 4 and Minecraft. After trying a few suggestions from an xbox expert here, we opted as last resort to try to reset the console
and choose "Reset and keep my games and apps." Well when we choose option, as my daughter desperately does not want to lose her games and data, we get this message - "We could not remove this console's home xbox associations." It then says "If you choose
continue anyway, the contents of this console will still be erased, but the associated home xbox info for anyone who set this xbox as their home console will remain."

Any help is most appreciated as we don't want to lose our data and games, but need to be able to access them. We are very frustrated, thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with being able to reset your console.

The message you are receiving implies that you are experiencing difficulties with network connectivity. In order to switch your

Home Xbox, you need to be connected to the internet.

The significance of this message means that you will "reset your console and keep your games and apps" but the Home Xbox will not be reset.

It's important to take note of whom is the account that configure the console as the Home Xbox? Regardless, if you must make sure to have all the info for each account you wish to recover, the email and the password are both necessary for you to be able
to
add an account to your console.

Additionally, your save data is automatically synced to the
Cloud storage, so as long as you were connected to the internet the last time you played your games, you will be able to pick up where you left off the next time you launch the game with your account.

Regardless of how whether these are just rumors or not, MS really needs to respond. Public perception is everything, and right now (correctly or not), the public thinks MS is going to implement a bunch of ignorant features with their next console. They might
not be able to dispel these to the majority of people before PS4 sales begin. Large amounts of money stand to be lost.

More power More games and No DRM locking. a flashy interface would be nice too. More power's going to help give the console the edge in multiplatforms and steeling exclusives.

I don't know, Eggnogga, I'm not the one who can do anything about it, nor do I care to be the one to do something about it. I would rather err on the side of someone being able to state their point in a new thread rather than having their comment lost in
one huge thread (that often gets hijacked by two or more people arguing, or some who rant incoherently).

I would also say most of the threads have a pretty clear title, leaving the choice to read them and comment on them up to each member individually, and it's often the same individual users who comment on these threads, as opposed to letting them fall by
the wayside, you know, cause they're so awful. I'd wager that if nobody took the time to reply to this one, only to be negative, this thread would have quickly fallen to page 2 and beyond.
