How does Microsoft compute total time on events like World Solitaire Tour? I often begin, quit for a while and then return. It appears that the total time includes the time I wasn't playing,

    Completion time on Events

I think the time keeping on the Events challenges is including time spent not playing the games. The other morning I began playing the January 13th(?) Event, but I had been up all night and was very tired, so when I got stuck on one of the challenges I decided
I needed to exit out of Microsoft Solitaire Collection and go to bed. When I got up several hours later, I resumed working on the challenges. This was actually on a different computer-- I had begun on my desktop computer, but had exited MSC and let the computer
go to sleep, then I completed the challenges on my laptop. According to my results, I spent 14 hours, 51 minutes, and 33 seconds playing the challenges, which is not correct-- that time must include the hours that I was sleeping.

It's my understanding-- from having been a play tester of the MSC Events (being a member of the "Inner Circle"), as well as from a message that I once received from MSC about players experiencing unusually long load times along with a reassurance to everyone
that these long load times would not count toward the completion times-- that the completion times are supposed to only include the time spent playing the challenges. It appears that either there was a glitch during the Event (Solitaire World Tour?) the other
day which caused the time to be miscalculated, or else the time spent playing a challenge is determined by the starting time of the first attempt and the ending time of the final (successful) attempt, even if there is a lengthy break of several hours between
    attempts.

Could someone explain exactly how the completion time for a given challenge is determined? Is it the sum of times for each attempt (unsuccessful and successful), excluding any time between attempts due to things like having to watch an ad before each attempt,
talking on the phone, taking bathroom breaks, eating, sleeping, etc.? Or is it determined more simply (and less accurately) by subtracting the time when the first attempt began from the time when the last attempt ended, including any and all ads, phone calls,
bathroom breaks, food breaks, and sleep breaks between the various attempts?

  3. calculating time on events

I was totaling discussed today. Free cell events was very challenging today and for some reason when I finished the last challenge my whole 20 completed challenges disappeared and it stated I had completed only one challenge which was the last one. So I
had to start all over again. Another thing that really bothers me is I really work hard to place in the standings. If I have to leave my computer I always log off and boot up again when I return. I write down the time I start, leave and come back and restart
my computer. Today you had me at one hour 51 minutes. I restarted and finished the last game which took less than 30 minutes but you finished me out with over 8 hours. This happens all the time. I am getting very frustrated. When you post our time with that
many hours it makes me feel that everyone thinks I am idiot because it took me so long, but in reality IT DID NOT IT YOU AND YOUR WAY OF CALCULATING OUR TIME. I would appreciate a response to my frustration.

    counting time

I'm playing on a computer Microsoft solitaire collection and the so called "Event" where the different games are all on time. And when I'm shutting the program and then the computer the "Event" game still counts. And next morning when I continue playing
I've got 7-8 or more hours added to my result. In that way I have to finish the game on the same day or not shut down my computer during night.

    Games keep crashing

I got a new error! I can give you the event ID which is 153 and it says

The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    \Device\Video3

    Error occurred on GPUID: 100

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

    Event completion times

    Hey there,

Sorry to hear about the frustration this has caused. Unfortunately we are unable to assist with in-game stats & leaderboard inquiries such as this, especially as this sounds like it is behaving as designed. You can try closing the game after completing the
games in a event to see if the time runs, but we cannot guarantee this won't affect leaderboard times.

    Thank you for posting.
