computer stops responding while playing game pass games on PC

I've been experiencing frequent crashes while playing games through Xbox game pass on my PC. I will launch a game and play for a few moments before sound suddenly stops/ starts skipping and eventually the game freezes and my computer stops responding. The only odd sign I can see from my computer is that my disk utilization will suddenly jump to 100% right when the game crashes (read and write speeds drop to 0 KB/s). Because of this I don't see a BSOD but rather my computer stops responding and I have to hard reset. GPU temps are fine as indicated in task manager and HWiNFO64 and utilization drops back down to 0 as soon as the crash starts. I've left my pc running about an hour in the crashed state to see if I can exit the game/regain disk usage with no luck as well.

I have experienced this on Deathloop, Metal Hellsinger, and Slime Rancher 2 all through game pass over the past few weeks. I have tried other, more demanding games through steam and GOG with no issues.

My system:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X

RAM: 32 GB DDR4 @ 3666MHz

GPU: RTX 3080 Ti

Storage: 2 Samsung 980 pro 1TB SSD's in RAID 0 (I don't like individual drives in windows)

OS: Windows 11 Home Version:22H2 OS build: 22621.674

Display: LG 1440p 144Hz monitor

What I've tried:

updating GPU drivers

lowering graphics settings(didn't expect this to be an issue but still didn't help)

verifying file integrity of the games

reinstalling the xbox app

reinstalling all of these games

disabling smart access memory in my bios

Totally wiping my pc and reinstalling windows

I cannot imagine any of my hardware is the issue and with a clean install of windows I was surprised to see my problem persist. The only other issue I could see is potentially how Xbox treats a RAID 0 drive but I've been running that for well over a year and had no issues until a few weeks ago.

Any advise you might have would be appreciated

From your solution, your hardware does not seem to have much of an issue, as you play other games normally.

If you have recently upgraded your system version, this may be a hardware driver compatibility issue that occurred after the upgrade.

Due to the fact that you have tried many solutions and have been unable to solve them, you may file a report in the Feedback Hub app and share your concern about this issue .Your feedbacks will be heard by the Windows team and we will consider improving Windows

Windows +F to open the System Feedback Center and just create a new feedback.

In addition, you can also ask questions at IT Pro Community, where is intended to support more advanced users such as yourself.

As mentioned by others, Game Pass Ultimate has Live Gold, Game Pass console and Game Pass PC and therefore it will not be possible to subscribe to Game Pass PC individually, while it has Ultimate. If in the future you stop being an Ultimate subscriber,
then you will be able to take advantage of specific PC offers.

This is correct. You need a Windows 10 pc in order to play Game Pass games on your computer.

One Game Freeze Solution if you're attempting to play on a console, or our support article entitled Game freezes or stops
responding on a Windows 10 device if experiencing this issue while on a PC.

Now that you said, I really cannot find Assassins Creed Origins or other Ubisoft games if I search it on the "Xbox Game pass" tab of the Xbox app.

Apparently they are only available for the console Game Pass or for cloud gaming for PC users that have Game Pass Ultimate.

PC users that have PC Game Pass are not able to install and play them on the computer.
