Compromised Account

I was just wondering how others are gaining access to my online account? I have brought this up to Xbox Live three times now, and yet it still continues to happen.

The first time I logged into my Live account and all of my friends were gone, and replaced by a group of people that appeared to be from Germany. The second time they charged a little over $100 and once again removed all of my friends and replaced them.
All of these users appeared to be from a particular Clan. After this incident, it was escalated with Microsoft and I was refunded the amount of the charges. I removed the card from the account, and cancelled the card. Then this last time they removed all
of my friends and used up all the points I had left associated with my account. This is all withing the span of a year and a half or so.

I use the hotmail account that I have associate with my account only for xbox live, and do not use it for my daily email. After the second time this happened I set up every security protocol that there is on hotmail, and I changed my password occasionally.
I have a 14 character password with upper/lower case letter, numbers, and symbols. What else is there that I can do to prevent this from happening. It is an extreme nuisance and I've already wasted the last two hours on customer support to resolve this
even though I have done nothing wrong.

Thank you. That is the site that I was forwarded to last time by Microsoft. The account that I use is used only for my live account. I do not use it for email, logging into other sites, etc. I run a virus and malware scan on my computer weekly. I've
even added my phone as a security proof. I really don't know what else to do.

 

Do you have an E.A or origin account?

If you do ,change the email and password of that account.

 

E. A. account as in Electronic Arts? I believe I had one way back in the day that was used for Tiger Woods. That hasn't been used in quite some time. I'm not sure you mean by an "origin" account, so I'm assuming that I do not have one. I'll see if I
can get into E.A. and change that pass if I can remember the information for it.

 

Looking at your recent games you have NBA and madden on there,you are probably using an origin account without realising it.

E.A have a very unsecure website and people use their site to access xbox live accounts,if people have the same passwords or emails on both accounts.

Origin is just the name E.A now use for their accounts.

 

Also Ubisoft got hacked recently and the hackers got access to all email addresses and passwords.So if you ever went to Uplay through Asssassins Creed or any other Ubisoft games they may have stolen your account details there.

 

Mines is not what they want. I do not have plasic on my account any more. If I want get my owned plasic. I would connected with paypal then my account.
