Component Xbox 360 to HDMI

Hey guys. I got a BenQ monitor recently that has a few HDMi ports, a VGA, and a DVI port. My 360, however, is a component 360 that I've been rocking since shortly after launch. The BenQ works awesome with my Xbox One and has 1m/s of lag, a blast for Titanfall.

What I need help with is the best way to connect my component 360 to this BenQ monitor while maintaining picture quality and the 1m/s response time. Is this possible? Anyone else faced this situation? Is there an adapter that would maintain the picture quality and response time? Or do I just need to buy an HDMI 360? I really want to play Halo 4 on my new monitor. If I were to buy a new 360 would my old 360 HD connect
to it still?

Question about Xbox One

I'm still rocking a component connection for my 360 to my tv. I just found out that Xbox One will only support a HDMI connection. Do they sell a hdmi to component cable?

Bad quality

I just notice i got HDMI input at my tv.

I dont think this is a HDMI component as i tought.

Does it Usually follow a HDMI component with xbox 360?

You may find the cable doesn't make a difference to the picture quality and response time.

Here's another cable solution to have a look at:

By all means thoroughly rule out any other options before going and buying a console.

thanks for the response. I think for that cable it would have to be a female component cable since the 360 has male component cables, unless I'm missing something

Also depends which console you have

1080p is only possible on HDMI enabled 360s

Component cable consoles only support 720p

Early 360s only support component

Xbox 360 released just when hdmi became standard but not widely distributed amount tvs

It wasn't.till.Xbox.360.vespers and jaspers that hdmi came our in the consoles

Hi There,

360s is a newer build with HDMI, initial version of xbox 360 had component cables

Obsessive Power

As the early Xbox 360's had no HDMI you'll need either a TV with a component input or an adaptor to convert HD component to HDMI.

Firstly if you want HD you'll need an Xbox 360 HD Component cable. They look like the image below.

Next you'll need a Component to HDMI Adaptor. Similar to
this one. Note that the cable must be Component to HDMI. These cables only work one way.

You plug the Xbox 360 component cable into the console and then plug the Component cables (Red, Green, Blue) and the two audio leads into the adaptor. Then connect an HDMI cable to the adaptor and the TV. The yellow cable is only for standard definition
and will not be required.

Just remember to change the video output on the console to 1080P and you're done.
