Component HD AV lead and Panasonic Viera SMART TV issues

I have an old XBOX 360 Arcade which has served me well. I purchased FIFA 15 which will only play on PAL 60, not PAL 50. On PAL 60, my TV is blurry but playable (barely).

I purchased the official component HD AV lead and plugged everything in as instructed. However, my picture is now just black/grey fuzz.

Anyone any ideas how to resolve without buying a new XBOX?

My TV is very new. I had no issues when playing FIFA 14 and feel like l have wasted £40 on a game and another £10 on a lead.

Doesn't show THX 3D in list for VT, but it does have it & VT THX 3D Certified Display would be different, than a ST non THX Certified Display too..

- What is the exact model of the TV?

- What are the display settings on the console set to?

- Just to be sure the new cable which of the cables is it at
support.xbox.com/.../connect-xbox-360-console-tv (If it is the 'Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable' be sure to set the switch to HD)

I would try to set it to 1080p or 1080i, but it should already show all things in colour before that.

And like I mentioned please check what the Switch on the cable is set too.

There is no switch on the cable l have. Think that was only on older models from what l read.

 

Still no luck with this. Don't think my XBOX 360 Arcade is HD compatible...when l go into the system setting on the dashboard this is greyed out, cannot select. Just strange that the issue is only with this game due to the PAL 60 setting.

If you have any other ideas, let me know otherwise l'll just have to get used to the blurriness!

 

The Xbox 360 Arcade console should also allow you to set HD settings, but those are only available if the cable and tv allow it. Please double check the cable if all is connected properly and if there is a switch on the cable itself. (On the earlier mentioned
link, you can even see the switch on the cables end that fits into the console)

I'm assuming the console is connected to the internet, is that correct?

 

It's a HDTV so should be fine. Works with Sky HD etc. The cable is connected properly and have tried multiple times. No switch on cable.

It's not connected to the internet but l will connect it and try again. Didn't think this would affect things.

Just to be sure, the cable does have 6 connecters (Red, White, Yellow, and Compontent Red, Blue, Green)?

 

Yeah, 6 connectors and it's the official cable.
