It would be best to add his email as an alias to the account because if you change it completely and you delete yours he will lose all the data that's related to it. Concerning the gamertag, you can always change it again after adding the email. Keep in mind that you can even make it primary just make sure to keep the original email

ok thanks revtony (this is my main Xbox account)..... So If i can migrate the gamertag to the micorsoft account, would there be a way I can change the e-mail / microsoft account associated with this gamertag so that it is connected to my main Microsft account
that is already synced with my Windows 8 PC, Because if I want to use any sync options or Smart Glass between windows 8 and Xbox, it would need the GamerTag to be associated with the Microsoft account.

Was your sons account connected to LIVE before? When you make a new offline account and then join LIVE your original alias changes and you get a random gamertag, however after that you get the chance to change your gamertag to whatever you want as long
as the gamertag you're trying to get is not taken.

I'm not interested in changing my mail. My question is about changing the microsoft account associated with my gamertag on xbox live. I wan't to associate my sons microsoft account with the gamertage on my Microsoft account. But thanks anyways...

oh. And this Gamertag is the gamertag that Microsft automatically generated when I started the support chat, without my knowledge or consent, and I was told by support that if they try to delete it, it will also delete my 7 year old Xbox
account and gamertag.
