Complex External Hard Drive Issue

So I've had my external in use with my Xbox one for a few months. Everything has been working fine up until tonight. When I go to My Games & Apps, I cannot see the device. Everything on it is there (about a TB of games). When I try to manage any of the games
on it, it won't allow me, though I can boot the games up and play them just fine. However, this means I cannot move anything to or from my external.

I navigated to the storage portion of the system settings and was able to confirm the Xbox is indeed detecting the drive, just the specific application of My Games and Apps is not.

Anyone know of a fix? I was online with tech support for 2 hours and everything that the boilerplate said to do was done, twice. My problem persists through all the fixes.

It seems like my only option is to format the external and reinstall everything, though I am hoping to avoid that at all costs.

External Hard-drive Issue

My Xbox will not detect my 120gb External Hard-drive I, have a partition of 16gb exactly that is formatted to FAT32(even when formatted to XFAT it isn't recognised either)
however the light is on and the disc is spinning in the drive. When plugged into my computer it works fine, it shows both partitions but when I go to Xbox/System Settings/Storage it only shows my HDD and Xbox Cloud Saves. I have tried most guides however
none seem to work. Thanks For Any Help, .

 

External hard drive issue

Hey I need help with an issue I'm having with my Seagate Expansion 3 TB HDD that I'm attempting to use for game storage. Straight out of the box it was not recognized by the Xbox One. So I took all the steps listed in the trouble shoot and after the hard
restart still no prompt to reformat. When I went into my storage setting I see that it's already being recognized as a media storage and offers me no options to reformat. I tried reformating it on my Mac and erasing any files already existing. Unfortunately
it still gets recognized as a media storage. Please help me figure out how to convert this hard drive for game storage as I just spent $140 on this thing and need the starve space.

 

Try this it has worked for some with external HDD issues. Disconnect the External HDD. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug
the power cord back in and restart the console (DO NOT connect the External HDD). Once it is back up and operational then connect the External HDD and test for results. Good Luck!
