Should, say, an up and coming EU company. Umm.... Fully Acquire Microsoft, and in particular it's entire Xbox division. 343i included.

Would you feel cheated if the New Company completely dropped support for the X1, and brought out a replacement console for the same price as the "One" you have now?

Good question, I would say you might get it out with a pair of long nosed pliers, put some tape round the ends though so as to not damage the casing, extreme caution would also be required I would imagine. Did you actually rip the tab off or is this just
a theoretical question?

god don't even joke about Apple, they'd leave the hardware the same, put a glowing Apple symbol over the Xbox symbol and inflate the price about 50%.... but i bet they will sell millions of them.

 

So "a EU company" (don't see which one really can,maybe a oil company or a bank) buy Microsoft (Xbox and 343 included but not Turn 10,Lionhead,Black Tusk and other studios) and can release a new console just like that.....

I'm trying to figure out why the OP specified an EU company in his original post.

I couldn't see any company acquiring Microsoft in it's entirety. The Xbox brand however is a possibility. I wouldn't feel cheated as long as the system was in good hands and supported well.

It depends when this hypothetical happened. If we are talking 8-10 years I wouldn't care at all. If it happens relatively soon I would have a big issue with it.
