I was given an XBox One when my daughter updated her gaming system.

It has a LOT of content that I would like to remove simply because it doesn't interest me.

All of said content (apps/games) that I have "removed" are now stuck in the magical domain of "Ready to Install" and try as I may, they will
NOT go away. I've attempted at least twenty different methods from a half dozen websites and there they sit, not installed but not uninstalled either. I can't understand why "uninstall"
doesn't mean "uninstall, go away, be gone forever," on this console like it does on a Microsoft Windows 98, 98SE, XP, XP-SP3, 7 Ultimate or Windows 10 PC.

HOW do I get rid of them? This is driving me crazy!

    :)

There's a few ways to get rid of those items.

    1. Remove your daughters account from the console.
    2. Highlight each item, press the menu button and select hide from this list and they will no longer appear under "ready to install".
    3. Reset the console to factory fresh and just add your account to the console.

You can simply setup your own profile as the My Home Xbox and that should remove all of your daughters profiles content from displaying while your account is the only profile signed in on the system. Take a look over the following link for more information
on setting your account as the Home of the Xbox you're using.

If you use the same account this is normal. If you uninstalled the game it is gone from the console. It is the same thing like you have on the PC when you uses steam. There are the games in you library even if they are not installed. So there is nothing
    to worry about.

    Hi Berry,

The best way to start fresh is to do a
    full factory reset
. When you do this select delete everything. This will wipe everything off the console. Reason the apps, games are showing in ready to install is the profile is on the console. If you do the reset, you then can create your own account.
Once you start purchasing apps or games, they will show in ready to install.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Is her account still on the Xbox at all? If it is (and it's set as her home Xbox) they'll remain there as you'd have access to certain items while the console is set as her "home Xbox".
