    Completely broken Elite 2 controller


    I bought this controller off ebay completely brand new for about $260 when it was sold out everywhere and just wanted to say its crazy how **** this controller is. Its almost like a scam because its supposed to be a better controller and it happens to
    be the worst controller I've ever had. Got controller drift about two weeks in and developed to becoming unplayable by the third week and I had to buy a new controller. It just sits by my xbox while I'm gaming as a reminder of what a complete waste of money
    it was. Even in the accessories tab it shows the right stick constantly moving fully in a certain direction and if you try to get it back to the middle it just fully drifts in the direction in which you tapped it. Crazy how much this controller cost just to
    be faulty. I literally wish I could get my money back or just get a working controller. Crazy how you guys didn't realize the controllers were **** before you released them, like were they not tested whatsoever? At least you guys should've released a statement
    telling people to not buy them and just take the loss for releasing a **** product. It's just a shame.

    Xbox Elite 2 controller NOT working with new firmware update

    To be very, very clear, the problem is that the newest firmware updates to Xbox elite 2 controller has broken the functionality of the paddles. As of the latest firmware, the paddles are completely disabled when in default profile. The paddles used to work in default mode, and now they don't. Steam can corroborate this: last year Steam added functionality to customize the outputs of the elite controllers paddles, which means that the paddles used to output a unique signal instead on only emulating other controller buttons.

    A quick internet search reveals numerous accounts from users who had used steam to customize the paddle outputs, proving that the paddles used to work. You can also see a growing number of recent complaints from Elite controller users who are realizing that their paddle inputs are now broken. This is not an isolated occurrence, the elite controller was broken by the latest firmware updates, and people are realizing it.

    The changes made to the Xbox elite 2 Controller paddles in the latest firmware updates NEED TO BE REVERTED.

    I bought 2 Elite and both left bumpers broke about 6 months into owning them...Really hope they make a better controller. $300 and now i have 2 broken controllers. What a joke!

    ok i sent back this 2 broken Elites.

    1-2 week done, get 2 new fresh Elites... tested... both new Elite's (my 3rd and 4th) left sticks drift to right...

    my last 5 Elites broken, 3 fresh from Xbox Support. Thats a big joke.

    I have both an elite 1 and elite 2. I am one of the few people who has not had a problem with the elite 2 controller. They will back you for 90 days. If you buy through a retailer you can return it to them because from what I am reading is that some
    of them are broken from the moment they take it home.
