    I am dismayed at the need to send back my xbox one for the second time to be repaired. The first time it was a problem with the internal wifi, now today I am getting a 'system failure' message. Wonderful. The customer support offered is unbelievable - either
    put the cost of an xbox on hold on my bank account until the fault is identified to enable a swift replacement. Or wait for what may be weeks for the console to be repaired. It should not cost me a penny to get a swift replacement, not even for one minute.

    I strongly believe that if I have bought a brand new console and it becomes faulty through nothing I have done then I should receive a new console, not a repaired one. I certainly shouldn't have to make do with a console that has been repaired twice in 9
    months. I repeat - A BRAND NEW CONSOLE?? Not only that, but I have also had to send the original controller back to be repaired.

    When I asked how to make a formal complaint I was advised to do it through the forums. That's it, post to a forum. Well I am not feeling much better about the situation having done that. My only other option is to write a letter to the legal team in America.
    To what end I wonder.

    Perhaps GAME can help being that's where I bought it, but they didn't make it so I don't see them as responsible. It's the responsibility MS has in distributing faulty consoles that I am making. And then assuming I or anyone wants a repaired console, I should
    get a new, thoroughly tested console in recompense for totally letting me down after all the hype.

    I'm beginning to wonder if I should of spent the money on a PS4 but as an XBOX player since the beginning I stuck to what I knew and had enjoyed. I have totally lost faith in XBOX with the XBOX ONE and am about to give up. I'm having more luck with the 360
    right now.

    A waste of money, enough said.

    Does anyone have a problem with my Gamertag?

    A gamertag is unique to the individual though so while if something is obviously offensive then you'd expect it to be looked at and maybe complaints being made, on this occasion and with this gamertag, any complaint is without foundation really, and like I said before, it's just merely a case of people being offended for the sake of it.

    Hi so me and my 8 of my friends got banned yesterday for a day, because someone in the party(thats not even on my friends list) was tea-baggin and now my xbox is $#@&ed up, its been two days, 6hrs in total talking to Incompetent ppl on ur help line and
    all they can tell me basically is that i have about 500$ in xbox stuff in my room thats now garbage, so can someone that knows what they are doing PLEASE HELP ME

    Personally I would of taken it back to game, as it would still be under warranty, sad to hear your not enjoy the console as I've had no problems,

    Like Mr Pingu said, take it back to GAME.

    My daughters console stopped working 2 weeks ago. Took it to the shop, they set it up to confirm there was a fault, within 15-20 minutes I was out of there with a brand new console.

    I've had to send 2 xbox ones of for repair due to faulty disc drives & it was a 7 working day turnaround both times.

    No option to take mine back to a shop due to how i got it but as metioned,take it back to Game.

    There's no where on the forums to make a complaint.

  7. Thanks for the comments, trying to dig out the original packaging warranty etc for return to Game. Not sure whether to mention it has already been repaired by MS??

    A few of my friends who also pre-ordered the console have also had faults with the console and had to return it. I guess I just expect more quality than that from MS.

    I've decided to write to the legal team to express my dissatisfaction anyway. I'm hearing about too many faults with this console, I just don't think its good enough.

    I bought Diablo 3 yesterday - £55.00, and all I can do is look at the game as the XBOX ONE is not having any of it. Woe is me, just wanted to get home turn it on a go. Too much to ask for?

    I agree with all the comments about taking it back to Game, and its good advice for anyone else having trouble with the console. But I do think MS should listen and respond the complaints about the faults for the sake of their loyal customers.

    In the UK, you don't have a contract with MS, you have a contract with Game and its Games responsibility to sort it, and normally UK retailers have processes to deal with it and are much better and quicker than dealing with international companies.

    (If the product was deemed faulty, a UK company by law would have to pay all the postage if you bought it online)

    If you bought it from Game, then why is it not Games responsibility not to sell fault goods, as well as MS job not to distribute them? The fact is *** happens and you have to deal with it, you have chosen the more complicated option.

  11. Hi EnenDaveyBoy, thanks for the comment. I understand what you are saying about the responsibility on GAME as the vendor, obviously.

    My main comment and point is that for the price I paid, all the hype and having the name microsoft as the manufacturer actually I don't expect **** to happen, especially not twice.

    Microsoft have allowed sub standard consoles to leave them for the shop shelves, telling us it will revolutionise our gaming and social experience. They made these consoles and should at least apologise and own the fact they have let me and everyone else
    down who has experienced faults, serious faults within the first months of using the machine.

    I am sure GAME will replace the console, thats all well and good and happy days. Just because I live in the UK does that mean I should ignore the fact that Microsoft made the console, and did a really poor job.

    I have had every XBOX machine since the first edition, and no complaints. In fact I still have the 360 as well which is still working fine after 2 years. I don't usually waste my time whining for fun.

    I have a legitimate point about manufacturing, that's Microsoft's responsibility to make sure the consoles on the shelves are as good as they can be, reliable and lives up to expectations.

    Too many people have had to return the console or get a repair, a response from Microsoft on this fact would be enlightening.

    What about people who got the console as a gift, with no proof of purchase what options are available for them with regard to a replacement. It isn't always simple to return a product to a shop.

    I personally moved a few months ago and so digging our necessary paperwork will be a pain to say the least. Hopefully it can be tracked by my payment by VISA.

    I just expected a more compassionate and loyal response from Microsoft to ensure I am a happy customer.

    I hope the company you work for/own has the same high standards your expecting from MS.

    what do you expect to happen? Ms to walk into their factory, and sack everyone because a few consoles have flaws in them.

    It is impossible for MS, or anyone else to ensure that every machine is 100% working, unless you want to add £100 onto the cost of your console for all the after build checks, I for one would prefer to return faulty good, and have a little inconvience for
    it.

    Its hardly life threatening, someone was beheaded the other day for nothing except reporting on a situation, and your moaning because you've had two fault xboxs and been put out a little.

    (if they got the item as a gift with no proof of purchase, they can go direct to MS, or they could ask the purchases for the receipt in this day and age its obvious you need the receipts.)

    while I sympathies with your situation, life is for living. (and with no disrespect its only one side of the story)

    For every flawed console there are probably hundreds of console working perfectly well. The fact the interweb hasnt exploded with reports of it are indicative that the fail rate for Ones is probably quite low. And the PS4 has its fair share of rogue consoles
    as well so its not as if its only MS.

    It's been mentioned above.

    Your mistake was not buying an XBox ONE.

    You should have just gone to the drawer where you keep your important electronics receipts and taken the console back to retailer that sold it to you for a replacement or a refund.

    The good news is you're not stuck having to mess around with maybe putting some money to one side for MS to consider an immediate replacement.

    You can fish that receipt out of the drawer right now, go to the shop to get it replaced and you'll be playing "Diablo" with the rest of us by supper time tonight.

  15. Wow such loyalty to MS is awesome. It is good to know not everyone has had a bad console.

    I have and I apologise if this thread is perceived as moaning unnecessarily.

    In fact I do expect high standards and I don't apologise for that.

    I haven't returned 2 separate consoles but the same console twice.

    And I too haven't been made aware of of a meltdown on the web about faulty consoles but my own personal experience is that everyone I know (8 people) who pre-ordered the xbox one have all had faults with console and either had it repaired or replaced. Me
    making 9 people. I think that's a lot.

    I posted this in order to get a response from Xbox or Microsoft on their perception of my situation, but that hasn't happened.

    Just to be clear I totally understand the situation about my rights with returning to Game. And for the record this is the first time I have posted to a forum about anything.

    In conclusion some people will agree and some won't. That's as it should be. Respect to those who spoke up for MS - good for you. Thank you to those who offered me support, ideas and understanding. I would like some one to give me an official response to
    my personal experience that's all.

    Off to Game now with my receipts, wish me luck with the new console.

    Oh and I think I should mention that the xbox rep I spoke to on the phone told me to post to the forum, I didn't do it to annoy anyone.

    Still stick to my opinion - MS not good enough.
