-Complaint- Support Got Me To Delete My Email Account

Hello! I am a very active xbox live user and am now extremely dissatisfied on the joke of "support" I was just given.

Here is the story.

I was calling Microsoft to change my email on my gamertag to my main Hotmail account. This Hotmail account has all of my personal services on it, such as my apple, steam, origin and support accounts.

My current gamertag is under an email given to me my MSoft after my account was compromised 2 years ago, and I decided it was finally time to change the email to my main one.

I called up Microsoft to do it, and in doing so, I found out my Hotmail account has a gamertag I do not use associated with it. The idea was to make a new email, then send that unused tag to it, and then take the free slot on my Hotmail for my main xbox
account.

In doing so, the representative provided me with false information with "alias" accounts, and in doing so, she got me to essentially "Delete" my main email address.

This service given to me is unacceptable and now I am questioning how this rep got her job at all in the first place. I called after and another rep told me she should have told me that Hotmail accounts are not even compatible with XBL accounts now.

She carelessly ruined my email account in the process, and I put too much faith into her.

I'm now waiting a month for this email to maybe come back. Extremely dissatisfied xbox. Extremely.

AW Pre-order Help

I preordered Digital Download Day Zero on Gamestop.com, and they sent me the confirmation email so I know it processed.

I did not make an account I just preordered without an account and just put in an email. Today, I got an email saying they didn't give out codes over email and they gave me a link saying I had to check my order history on my account to get the code, but I never made one I just bought the Digital version WITHOUT creating one. So, i proceeded to make an account with the same email that I put in when buying the game, and then checked my order history and there was nothing there.

I sent a support email, but the confirmation email for THAT says it could take from 24-48 hours, and that would be past day zero. Did I basically just have $60 stolen or is there some way you all know of retrieving the code? I heard their phone customer service is crap as well so calling might not get me very far.

 

Live account email

I've had a live account for years now but when I set it up I used my gmail email. I also have an local free profile for my wife that I set it up using my Live.com email account. My wife's account doesn't have a Live gold pass so it's just a free local account. Recently I signed up for a xbox Live Music pass about a month ago and I've been enjoying it so far (gmail account)....so to the Issue.
I just got a new Windows phone. All sync'd up and working with my live email account. My music pass though is not showing up for my Live account so I can't sync up my playlist and such. There is also no option to "log in" to your music pass as it uses the account the phone is already setup with which is my Live account.

So how do I switch my music pass to be associated to my Live account? I've been trying for hours to just delete my Wife's free profile account so I can remove my Live email association but I can't figure out how. I do know that I'll have to change my XboxLive account name which is cool with me. But when I try to switch my account over it says My email that I want to use is already in used by a Xbox profile (Yeah, my wifes').

 

I had the exact same issue. My dude made his gt with my 10 year old Hotmail that I use for everything and is the only email I have. He took my email off his gt and my email was gone. He instantly put it back on the same gt and my email came back. We called
support. They told us that my email should have been gone but that since we switched it back right away could be what saved it. I would not wait 30 days. Their Hotmail, live, outlook emails have 7 year recycling periods. I would try to put the email back on
the gt you don't use like in my situation. You may not care for the gt but heck if it saves your email why not.
