    Complaint about Xbox Rep Sheila and her team


    So... it's IMPOSSIBLE to contact someone to file a complaint so Microsoft pointed me here to start a discussion. Debated making it a public discussion at this point, but we will go the support route and see if we get anywhere.

    I purchase a $ 25.00 Xbox Gift Card for my son Sky_XVI for his Easter Basket. The card was purchased at a Basha's Grocery Store in Tucson, Arizona. I have the receipt that has the code on the receipt that matches the code on the card.

    When he went to use it, the Xbox system told him the code had already been redeemed. We tried several times to try in on the console and on the PC and same error.

    I called Xbox and they could confirm that the code was indeed redeemed... but not by us. We went through all of the various Microsoft and Xbox accounts we have... we even checked a couple friend accounts that are on his console.

    Their resolution, nothing they could do. The code was redeemed, and because it was purchased at a 3rd party company (the grocery store), they couldn't do anything. Went to the grocery store, they don't refund cards and have no contact dealings with them,
    they referred us back to Xbox.

    Called XBox again and their resolution was nothing. I'm out of luck. So I asked to escalate it to a fraud claim. But they don't do that either? How is that possible... you have no fraud that ever happens? Bull.... the agent transferred me to Sheila,
    the manager of the day I'm sure, and she went through everything and again... out of their hands. It's been redeemed. They could confirm it wasn't us that redeemed it, but they could not, for privacy reasons, tell us who did. So I asked them to confirm it
    with the person, and after more than a week, they could not confirm it. So it's just gone.. poof. No one has it. No one has used it, just that it has indeed been redeemed.

    And in the end, the email I received from Sheila was just a cop out. Washed their hands of it after days of emailing back and forth. Because "I" couldn't prove we didn't have it, they couldn't do anything about it... although she admitted that they did
    not seem it redeemed on any of our accounts. The issue... because it was redeemed on Easter Sunday - April 1st - it was way to coincidental.

    So nothing... no courtesy, no I'm sorry, no, here's a blah blah blah to make you happy, no reimbursement, nothing. Just go away.

    Sorry - not going away. She didn't even want to see the receipt - didn't care that what I have matches. Didn't matter at all because it was purchased at a grocery store and nothing she can do about that. It's an XBox card. You got the credit for it...
    I want the credit for it. The grocery store doesn't refund, you have to go through Xbox. Xbox won't refund because you have to go through the place you purchased it. That's crap and the WORST customer service I have ever experienced.

    I have a receipt that I purchased a Gift Card as follows

    Gift Card # 1945 Actviated 3/31/18 at 13:21 for $ 25.00

    The Gift card number is 799366336290006219876697431945 (same last 4 digits)

    The uncovered code attempting to use is CQHK4-DFVCY-F23KK-3TDY7-9H9XZ

    I am beyond upset... in part because of this... in part because you also renewed his membership for 2 years!!! When the first card was declined, I used a 2nd card... to renew it. And in the end you ended up charging me on both, having me incurr an overlimit
    fee and yet again... NOTHING my credit card company can do because I got a receipt that it was renewed... and nothing Xbox can do because they got the authorization.

    I am feeling so duped by Xbox these days! It's unbelievable. The callous disregard is beyond disbelief to me. That in a day of customer service, that a company can really just say there is "nothing they can do" Sheila actually saying her hands are tied.
    Nothing she can do about it. What an awful place to work, what an awful place to do business with if that's the case.

    But I did it... bought him a new card, because didn't want my son disappointed. But that's the last one. Told him I refuse to have my card on file with XBox and I refuse to by cards. He's on his own with this fraud.

    So - I guess I have someone to thank for reading my frustration since Sheila didn't care about my story... just immediately talked to me and responded to me like we were trying to fraud you out of $ 25.00.

    Not alot of money to you, but a lot to a son for a gift he couldn't use and a mother that had to shell out $ 50.00 in order for him to use $ 25.00.

    Just sad really.

    Flawed Reputation system - stuck in avoid me and good player simultaneously

    Just like in real life the community not you decides your rep

    People can put you in avoid me

    But that has no effect on your rep

    When they file a complaint about your boasting or team kills or not playing well with others by not working with your own team

    The system looks at how you played or communicate then lone wolf or too much complaints about your trashtalking there is your drop

    And. FYI only your profile has your rep not the website.the website isn't an active metre

    You should be using the complaints reports to adjust your be hilarious not criticize it which is alone unsportmanlike like behaviour

    And you admitted yourself you chose to be unsportsmanlike

    Reputation and sportmanship is all about working with your team

    There is no 'i' in team

    The community not you decided what your rep is

    You never get rep drop msgs S that's a privacy violation you don't know who and what they filed you only see the effects and the type of complaint under enforcement.xbox.com

    You get suspension msgs

    You will get system msgs when your rep drops as long as you set the contact info correct but Ir wouldn't be becausd of every single complaint it's only seen your rep drops a lvl
    So I can't play my Xbox because I pick a character in a game people have a preference not to like?

    Major Nelson made a post about the new rep system. He said at each rep stage you would be informed.
