Complaint about Updates that are Pushed Anytime

This is the second time in two days I have had an update pushed when I am in the middle of playing a match on my XBOX. Once at 7pm est and now 9:25pm est. I do not mind the updates to appear when I turn on my XBOX (which is pretty much every day) but I
do not like being kicked out of what I was doing to be forced to install an update that I am guessing is not critical.

Please do not push updates at peak times when people are most likely either playing online or watching something. Updates when shutting down or starting up are perfectly acceptable.

As a matter of fact, I would love the option to install an update upon shutdown that will install then shut the system down. That would be a nice addition to the system.

I do not normally complain, but this just *** me off. Just needed to vent.

No Fall Update Yet

Could happen anytime before your Surface arrives. The update is being pushed out in waves over the next week and everyone should have it before October 26th for the Windows 8 and Surface launch.

 

Download update.

You might have downloaded one update right before another was pushed out. There are periods when updates are pushed out daily so you may have had the unfortunate timing to have completed one right before another was pushed out for users.

Updates are scheduled not pushed but i do agree with you it tends to be annoying i do assume you are talking about preview updates at the moment i can direct you to the Xbox feed back site if you wish but that's all i can do for you.

There is a section dedicated to preview feedback.

 

There is an option in the Preview update which may help you.

It's in settings, all settings, Power & startup, Power mode & startup.

There is an option there "Keep my console, games & apps up to date"

I haven't tried it myself but maybe if you uncheck that option it will stop the automatic updates.
