compensation for loss of services today

cable goes out i get a credit on the next statement, no cell service same thing...when can i expect Microsoft to compensate me for the loss of services?

Can't Connect to Xbox Live!

my mate 4 miles down the road got on line but i cant. i want compensation for this loss of service - everyone should demand it

I would hope they do compensate. It is pretty bad on their part to be having Xbox Live issues on a holiday. I am ok with waiting for Live to come up to play a game online.., BUT, why the hell do I have to login to XBOX Live just to use Netflix? That is just
down right stupid. Xbox live is broken, so I can't use any apps that I pay for? Real smart move there Microsoft.

 

MS won't compensate for Live being down, it's been down whole days before and they never compensated, but what I don't understand is MS knew this was going to happen and lo and behold they did nothing to prevent it.

 

Compensation is absolutely necessary. Xbox is payed for by customers which therefore means in turn it should be guaranteed to work properly and if not, demands compensation. i've been notified twice in the past two hours that the problems have been fixed
through text messages i requested to notify me when at the exact moment the problems are resolved. I have been lied to by this company and have proof of it.

 

I will be calling and b#tching i refuse to pay for their crap service so now they can give it to me for free or i will be moving to the PS4

 

PS4 is having the same problems too. A bunch of hackers shut down the servers so no one can get on. They announced they were going to do this a month ago.

im sure theres somewhere in the fineprint in the terms about force majeure with things like these. But it's pretty bad that they knew abaut it and let it happen anyway.

 

As much time as they had xbox live is up and running which is most important. Thank you to the technicians who worked on getting live back online well done

 

The hack to both Xbox live and PSN forced both offline. Not to mention, millions of new Xbox one owners trying to download a 1 GB first update. So what is the alternative? Leave it up so that they can further hack it, and maybe even steal personal account
info?

Xbox live is back up for the most part, but as of 10 AM PST, PSN is mostly still down. So for those that say they are switching, it has been trouble on both sides. All of it made the front page yesterday on CNN.

PSN was down but you know what I could do on my Playstation, play games watch netflix and any other apps. This would be truly ridiculous if Microsoft doesn't compensate for the ignorance of linking to the internet. It's good to know that when I deploy to
not take my xbox because I might not be able to play any of my games. I'm on my last straw with Microsoft. Always wanting something from someone. 360 red ringed send it in with 10 dollars and we will fix it. Xbox live goes down after what the 3rd time this
month? And you what decided to fix it properly so after 12 hrs on Christmas day it could be operational. You were warned about this and should of had something in place to repair it. Instead of making employees come in on christmas. Sorry I'm done ranting.

 

It is pretty difficult to stop a DDoS attack before it happens as you don't know where it is going to come from. This is why Sony and Microsoft were unable to prevent it happening yesterday. In fact, Microsoft resolved it yesterday, Sony was still having
problems today.

Shamus91B, you can still play your Xbox when Xbox Live goes down by selecting your profile from the dashboard and select "Go Offline" all your games will work as normal without Live, beyond multiplayer of course.

While I don't agree that I should be compensated for the outage as it was out of their hands, the most you can realistically ask for is a day worth of Xbox Live Gold access. Or you could take them up on their hefty discounts for games and movies and compensate
yourself that way. 50% off Sunset Overdrive. Microsoft is giving you $30 right there.
