Compatible Xbox controller not working on android phone

    HI there PauloSilva_659.

I am Lumie and I would love to assist you today.

I am so sorry you are having issues with your Xbox controller.

    Update Firmware
Ensure both your Android device and Xbox controller have the latest firmware updates. Firmware updates often resolve connectivity issues. You can update the Xbox controller firmware through an Xbox console or a PC with the Xbox Accessories app.

    Clear Bluetooth Cache
Clearing the Bluetooth cache on your Android phone can sometimes resolve connectivity issues:

    Go to Settings.
    Select Apps or Applications.
Tap the three dots (or the gear icon) and select Show system apps.
    Find and tap Bluetooth.
    Tap Storage.
Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.

    Forget and Re-Pair the Controller
Remove the controller from your Bluetooth paired devices list and re-pair it:

    Go to Settings.
    Select Connections.
    Select Bluetooth.
Find the Xbox controller in the list of paired devices and select Forget.
Restart both your phone and the controller.
Attempt to pair the controller again.

    Enable Location Services
Some Android devices require location services to be enabled for Bluetooth to work correctly:

    Go to Settings.
    Select Location.
Ensure that Location services are turned on.

    Check for Interference
Ensure there are no other Bluetooth devices nearby that could be causing interference. Disconnect other Bluetooth devices and try pairing the Xbox controller again.

    Use a Different Device

Try connecting the controller to a different Android device to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the controller or your phone.

    Reset Network Settings
Resetting network settings can resolve various connectivity issues, but it will reset all network-related settings:

    Go to Settings.
    Select System.
    Select Reset options.
Select Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.

    Use Wired Connection
If Bluetooth continues to be problematic, consider using a wired connection with an OTG (On-The-Go) cable. This can serve as a temporary workaround until the Bluetooth issue is resolved.

    I hope this helps.

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. -Lumie

    Xbox and Android

Hello viktorsigosins, for Android, you need to check your phone manufacturer and Android version to see if it is compatible with controllers or not. For your second question: yes, you can use Xbox One controller on S and X model as well.

    hope it helps,

    best regards
