Compatible Games

I've tried installing Mass Effect 3 onto the xbox one as its on the 'compatible list'

But when I put the disc in it's saying its not compatible? Is it just my xbox (does it need some sort of update?) or is it actually not compatible and if so why is it on the list???????

Please help.

Currently there does seem to be an emerging issue regarding Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles being played on Xbox One. More information will be made public as soon as it becomes available. In the mean time I recommend you try uninstalling and reinstalling
the game. There is also a chance that it could be the disc itself. Please let us know with a reply to see how it goes.

Hi Nikkstaaa,

When this happened to me, the fix to the console showing 'not compatible' was to perform a hard reset. To do so, hold the power button for ten seconds while the console is on. Hopefully that may help. If not, do you have issues playing other backwards-compatible
games?

Oddly enough I just saw a Tweet that the series is currently on sale through XBL. Maybe the store being updated is the issue?

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems trying to install Mass Effect.

From what I'm reading I think that it would be maybe that your console is need of a new update or you might have try another disc for the game.

I would suggest trying what we call a soft reset of your console and see if that helps.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.



Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.
