    sigh kids these days... You don't realize you can't just do backwards compatibility just on a whim. I already posted this twice and ill post it again

    Backwards compatibility is actually quite hard to do between xbox one and the xbox 360 and even the ps3 and ps4... the ps4 and xbox one ( at least from what I read ) use the x86 architecture and the xbox 360 and Ps3 uses the power pc architecture. The power
    PC architecture is similar what macs used before they went to intel based chips ( Which are the x86 architecture chip). This is great simply because now it will be a lot easier to port games between pc, ps4 and xbox one so all game should somewhat look on
    par between ps4 and xbox one ( obviously pc games will always trump because you can upgrade gpu's )

    A similar reason why the Xbox 360 had limited backwards compatibility with the xbox 1 games because it used a NVidia GPU while the xbox 360 has an ATI ( AMD) gpu in it and basically the original xbox was basically a PC in a box

    Hi

    Rockstar Games have not announced if RDR II will be released for PC. Currently it is only set for Xbox One and PS4. Even if Rockstar make a PC version, it would have to be part of Xbox Play Anywhere for you to download it again for free on a PC.

    Xbox 360 games can only be downloaded on either a 360 or, if they are backwards compatible, on an Xbox One.

    Xbox 360 game codes do not work on PC.

    You can of course redeem codes for consoles using a PC web browser (or a browser on any device for that matter), but the game will only be downloadable on a compatible Xbox console.

    Only games that are backwards compatible will be available on the Xbox One. Minecraft is not backwards compatible (https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility?xr=shellnav) or
    Play Anywhere, so you would need to purchase the Xbox One version if you want to play on the One or the PC version if you want to play on the PC.

    The 360 download history is no longer available on the website, but it doesn't mean you no longer have those purchases tied to your account. Any games that are backwards compatible will be listed as Ready to Install in your library in your Game and Apps
    on the Xbox One.

    I purchased a game on my xbox 360 and I don't have it any more but I would like to re download it on my computer

    If it's available for the PC, you would have to purchase it for the PC. 360 games can only be downloaded on a 360 or Xbox One if they're backwards compatible.

    you can only see any xbox 360 purchases on a 360, only some of the 360 games are backward compat, so if it aint available to download on the xbox one then it is not BC.

    none of the 360 games are compatible on PC.
