Comparing platfoms

Eh herm he didn't necessarily say high end pc...

 

My PC cost the same amount as my Xbone and it runs all highs and some ultras at ~60fps. If I spent another $400 I could get BF5 running ultra. Just sayin, "high end" doesn't necessarily mean expensive.

 

hmm....my PC, just the tower...cost me $1200.00 or about 2.3 XB1's, tried to get the best of every component as I didn't want to upgrade for a long time.....and it wound up doing the same job as my old $400 desk top ......I detest keyboard & mouse controls
for games like this, and using a controller leaves you at a serious disadvantage ....the only game I really play and am getting quite good at is Mecharrior Online ...and though I use the keyboard for cockpit functions. I only use the mouse for menu navigation

this ....this is great for Mechwarrior ...a sweet scifi simulator, and it works awesome for the only other PC game type I enjoy .....'realistic' flight sims

 

Yeah my tower cost me about $600 and it runs pretty much all the best components aside from the graphics card.

 

MechWarrior sounds like Titanfall in a way.

 

....no, nothing like Titanfall .....mechwarrior games have been around since 1988, based on the original FASA tabletop strategy RPG Battletech. FASA ''borrowed'' most of their original battlemech appearances from Robotech/ Macross and Robotech/Defender designs
.... ofcourse the story and canon are different. yes, it's a mech game but in titanfall, the mechs are pretty small ....in Mechwarrior, they are much larger ...and no matter what people try and tell me, titanfall will just be a pretty looking, but arcadey
COD shooter with gimmicky mech-things and jet pack assisted infantry twitch-shooting and though it may be fun and cool .....Mechwarrior Online is a simulator, something no little controller can really pull off ....when I say a battlemech has alot of player
controlled functions, I'm not kidding ....I still have to use a keyboard with that controller

 

Titanfall would be Mechwarrior if all twelve players were in titans.

 

the closest console game to a TRUE mechwarrior game would have to be Chromehounds ....the original Xbox had Mechassault 1&2 but despite the mechs looking like their mechwarrior inspired counterparts ....mechassault 1 and 2 were just third person brawlers
....and if all 12 titanfall players are in mechs, then I suspect something more that that than Chromehounds

 

Like 63 days til the Titanfall release. There are also different types mechs. I have watched several of the vids. Some are really fast but lack "armor" and some are bigger and are like tanks. I subbed the guy on YT doing the Titanfall stuff. Heres a look.----[View:]

I played that and it was fun, then again i wss an adult when the original released
