"Compare games" feature

How come this never works for me? I've tried to compare games with dozens of people, both on my console and on this site, but all of the other peoples stats just show dashes. At first I though that probably just meant the other person didn't play the same
games as me. But I've tried with people I know have played the same games, because I can see a matching game icon under their avatar, but I still only see my own stats and dashes for theirs.

Is it just me, or does this feature not work for anyone?

It doesn't compare to any of them. I was simply pointing out fighting games which were fast paced.

Ummmm....a beat em up isn't a fighting game....

Ever played a beat em up? Final Fight =/= Street Fighter

 

Works for me. I just tried comparing games with you and it works fine. The only time I ever see dashes is if the other person has their game play history blocked or they just haven't earned achievements in those games.

 

Well that is weird, because I just tried to compare with you and all I see is a lock symbol and dashes for all your stats. I see under your avatar you've played Assassins Creed II, so I should see something for that game at least. It must be some setting
I need to change or something.

 

I tried checking in a different browser, but it still works for me. Try checking your privacy settings. There is a section for viewing other people's profiles.

 

Yeah, it was a setting. The first selection says something along the lines of "view other peoples profiles" and that was blocked. Strangely enough there is another that says "let others view your profile" and that was set to allow everybody. I'm guessing
these were the default settings because I can't imagine I'd ever block myself from seeing any others while allowing them all to see me. Lol, anyway I changed that first setting and now it works. Thanks for the help.
