    I’m here to log a complaint. A player sent me a message of slang profanity and I responded accordingly. He reported me so I’m suspended for a day from communications. How am I suspended when I was initially harrassed? On top of that after going through two
    means of support I’m told that I cannot get the case reviewed until after the suspension. Only way I can get a response in the topic isn’t to post on this forum then the rep I was speaking with rudely ended the chat when I wasn’t done with my concerns and
    did barely anything at all to help.

    Communication suspensions are imposed due to inappropriate conduct during communication activities on Xbox Live. This suspension blocks an account from accessing any communication features on Xbox Live, including text messages, voice messages, video communications,
    Skype on Xbox One, in-game chat, and party chat. Communications suspensions are issued for a specified temporary duration, often of 1, 7, or 14 days.

    During a communications suspension the account may continue to access the Xbox Live service, including online multiplayer. At the conclusion of the suspension all communication functionality will be automatically restored.

    This has been highly frustraing and I have doubts on Xbox’s supports ability to address and help my suspension. Granted, a 24 suspension is not a huge deal but the principle that I can get a paying customer of over 10 years can get harrassed by someone and
    cannot respond with getting suspended then cannot get it reviewed or get any help from xbox help. If I’m not helped by the time I go and come from work today I with not be renewing my membership this coming month. I’m highly dissapointed I’m Xbox and Microsoft
    right now.

    If someone harasses you online just report that person or block him. Retaliating counts as harassment and will be subject to enforcement acts.

    24 hrs suspensions can't be reviewed since there is not enough time so my suggestion to you is to read the Code of Conduct and respect it in order to avoid future suspensions.

  6. If you reported that person that harass you first instead of responding, he would get banned not you. But that is not what happen so what we can do is learn from this and be the better men next time.

    Communication suspension

    You need to go to the enforcement site https://enforcement.xbox.com and you can find out more details about your suspension. You can also find the code of conduct at the same site that you can review as this is an agreement that you agreed to when you signed
    up for xbox live and everything you say and do is governed by this agreement. Remember xbox live is considered a rate E for everyone service and all communications need to at that level. Rule of thumb, if it's not appropriate to say in front of 2 year old
    then it's not appropriate to say on xbox live.

    If you feel that what you find on the enforcement site is not accurate, you can file a case review. the instructions are on the same site under how to.. But before you file the case review you will be quizzed on the code of conduct and you must pass the
    quiz or you will have to wait 24 hours before you can file again.

    It can take a day or so for what he was reported for to be reviewed. So 10/12/2017 at 2:03pm is when the enforcement team issued the suspension. Not when he was reported.

    you can file to have your case reviewed by the enforcement team. That way they can hear your side of the story. If you are interested in doing this Here is how to do it.

    You will need to go to https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US sign in and click the orange hammer in the top left of the site.This will take you to your enforcement history page. Find the current enforcement effecting
    your account. Next to it on the right you should see a link that say submit a case review. Click on that and follow the prompts.

    You can try submitting a case review at
    http://enforcement.xbox.com
    but it probably won't be lifted early. Keep in mind that it's actually a violation of the code of conduct to share accounts and you are responsible for everything that happens on your account even if you're not using it.

    You'll still be able to play your games online but won't be able to access anything communication related.
