Communications ban

So I was given a ban today, with no information given to me pertaining to this ban. So I proceeded to this live chat support platform you offer. I left none the wiser and quite perplexed that you don't have emails. I was however told that these forums are
monitored, so here I am. So, if any of you email-less individuals who can supply me with the information I require that would be fantastic. What I would like to know, in detail, is why the ban was issued. Please don't direct me to the enforcement page which
just has some useless copy and paste nonsense on it. I want specifics, what was the reasons, why was the reason brought to your attention and so on. Before you say you can't give me that, yes you can. Because any information you have regarding to my persons
I am allowed access to. Also, out of idle curiosity, it would be great to know why a company that makes billions and is also a part of Microsoft doesn't use email.

Being banned twice

Is one a communications ban and one an account ban? Or are they both communications bans?

 

I got a communication ban, while I was already banned from communications.

I apparently have received a communication ban on my account, while I was currently doing time for another communication ban. How could I have received another communication ban while I was currently communication banned?

 

I would imagine that the reason why you have been banned is that you may have been shouting abuse at someone, even if it was meant as a joke etc.

As for the team behind banning people not having emails, of course they do. But if those emails were handed out to everyone that complained, the people would be swamped with people complaining.

Basically dude, just accept your ban and live with it, Microsoft don't hand out bans for a laugh. Someone will have reported you for using abusive language or possibly bad language (kids do play on console as well) they will have had a reason.

 

I am always in party chat with friends, so I can hardly hurl abuse at all kids now can I? I had hardly been online all weekend I play for one hour and get handed a ban. So I feel I have been handed an unfair ban. I want to know why. I have a right to know
why a service I pay for has been suspended.

It's an absolute joke.

 

You would of been suspended for something that could of happened a while ago.

All reports have to be investigated so bans/suspensions are not instant.

An email will have been sent to the address linked to your account explaining the reason or you can log in here

enforcement.xbox.com/.../HowTo to see any enforcement action on your account & ask for a case review if the suspension is more than 24 hours long.

 

Did you read what I wrote? The part about me saying I was given no information and that the enforcement page is just some copy and paste nonsense. If it was due to something from a while ago then they could have given me more warning than half an hour, with
the message simply saying you have been banned for breaking the communications code of conduct.

I don't want some vague useless information, I want to know exactly what I have supposedly done. Where is my right to defend myself? I pay for this service so I expect a little more to be honest.

 

Your warning is the Code of Conduct you agreed to when you started your account.

An email is always sent to the address linked to your account.

I have told you how to appeal & ask for a case review.

That is the only way to contact the enforcement team.

No one here can tell you anything else,we are just regular gamers & the enforcement team do not read the forums.

 

And there is a whole plethora of things within the code of conduct.

I was told by an employee of Xbox on their chat support, that the forums are monitored. Obviously I knew the email thing was a lie, I'm not naive. But being lied to about the forums being monitored is something else.

Regardless, my point is that there should be an initial warning period (half an hour does not constitute a warning). Within this warning period you should then submit for a review, if they feel they are wrong, no ban ever gets put in place, if they feel
they are right (provided they supply the person in question with sufficient evidence to enforce the ban) the ban should stay.

I was given no warning and no specifics, I don't feel I violate any code of conduct and if I did I will hold my hand up to it, apologise to the Xbox team and accept any bans they wish to give me.

There is just no method or efficiency to the way they are working things.

 

Unfortunately phone/chat support have little to no idea how the forums work & will often send people here when they can't help.

They are nothing to do with xbox live enforcement so wouldn't be able to help you anyway.

I repeat, no method or efficency. I also repeat, I checked the enforcement webpage and to no surprise there was the same useless information on there as there was in the copy and paste email I got sent.

 

And that's all you will get.

The enforcement team are under no obligation to give you specifics or discuss the suspension with you other via the enforcement site.

This is something you agreed to when you started your account.

There is no point in carrying this conversation on.You have been given all the information anyone on the forums can.

 

Something else to consider, does anyone else have access to your Xbox? family members or friends?

If they used your account and were in a party chat etc and they abused someone, then its still your fault because its your account that they used.

Just thinking of the possibilities.
