Communications ban

Good morning,

I’m here to share my frustrations with the overwatch competitor community. Playing “competitive” means “your supposed to play completivly”. I’ve played a lot more than the average person and have witnessed so many trolls, kids thinking it’s funny to pick
a player they know they shouldn’t have, people ruining the game for no reason, sit still, emote...ect. Recently I got tired of that stuff happening. I was wasting a lot of competence points due to kids ruining the game(especially during winter break, or any
other school outing). Wasting a lot of my time. That’s harassment, no? Freedom of speech saying “get the f out of competence mode” should be accepted to these instances. It happens all the time. How does Xbox determine you should be banned? Curious what “evidence”
you guys actually have. Is it recorded? Or simple hear say? Your reporting system is aweful.

Being banned twice

Is one a communications ban and one an account ban? Or are they both communications bans?

 

I got a communication ban, while I was already banned from communications.

I apparently have received a communication ban on my account, while I was currently doing time for another communication ban. How could I have received another communication ban while I was currently communication banned?

 

The enforcement team has access to everything you do or say on Live. When you're reported, they check that information and if they determine you have done something to violate the code of conduct, they will issue a suspension. Profanity is not allowed on
Live no matter what the situation is. Freedom of speech does not apply on Live.

 

who draws the line for “harassment”? Never once have I played a game just throwing profanities around. You really have to provoke me and waste my time. Meaning don’t harass me by throwing games, playing donkey characters, and giggling about how your wasting
time. Just sad. Get your kids off Xbox love if they going to act like children. Don’t complain when they repeat a bad word at school. They deserved it.

 

As frustrating as playing online can be every time you play you agree to the XBL Code of Conduct (Microsoft’s Code of Conduct Explained for Xbox Live Customers ). As Smutches say, the Enforcement team have access
to what you say and do and if they've issued a ban then there will have been evidence of you breaking these rules. If you're in match/lobby with people you feel are frustrating you perhaps in future it may be worth leaving that one and trying to find another
instead.

 

They can hear and see everything? The reporting system let’s you report thing such as “inactivity”. There needs to be a “throw the game” option to select. That way the person who has nothing better to do than waste peoples time can get reported by the team,
Xbox can then look at the games and tell? That would make for lot less toxicity. Get the real people who are “harassing” banned.
