    Communications Ban = Game Ban?


    As of yesterday I have been struck with the enforcement of a 7 day communications suspension. After doing some research on the hows and whys I go to play one of my favorite games: Conan Exiles. Upon trying to play the game, a xbox notification appears telling
    me "Due to a suspension you cannot do this." and the game itself tells me "Your online content sharing settings prevent the use of online features". At first I figured this was a game issue and took it up with the community director on the Funcom (The game
    creator) forums and they tell me to ask this here. I can still play every other game in my library but Conan Exiles. I was wondering why this is, and if not can it be be fixed, please?

    I would like to see the evidence

    I would like to see the evidence against me that was used to issue my communication ban, plus I cannot play my games because of this communication ban it says I cannot share game content which is not part of a communication ban

    Sorry to hear it. This may be because the game itself is an online multiplayer or co-op game which requires communication. However, I would recommend heading to
    https://enforcement.xbox.com and clicking the hammer icon to open a case review with the PET. Only they can answer questions about Live enforcement actions.

    Yes you can play games while have only a communications ban but there is a small catch on some games. If the game requires communications the a Comm Ban will prevent you from playing that game.

    This sounds like a game ban and not a Microsoft ban as MS does not do 28 hr bans. I would check with activision who run the servers for this game to see if you have a game specific ban from them.
    Nope I have a communication and multiplayer ban on any game.

    The bans for communications violations are both punishment and there to keep the gaming community safe.

    By receiving your comms ban you have automatically been punished for your actions, At the same time this keeps the community safe as you will be unable to chat with or socialise with other players on xbox live during the ban.
