    Communication bans should not exist


    WHY ARE YOU GUYS BANNING ACCOINTS FROM COMMUNICATIONS!!! If people have a problem with the way you talk or anything of that matter Xbox live already has a block communications with that person. Why do you have to block all my communications even with my
    own friends. This is ridiculous. Especially when you ban me for replying to someone who attacked me first. He messaged me fishing for me to reply to him. This system you have is very flawed when the person that reply to a hate message gets banned and not
    the person that sent it. Fix this please or get rid of It!

    Temporary Account Suspension.

    You can view your ban by logging in at enforcement.xbox.com however 24hr bans are not eligible for case review. Communication bans restrict all communication.

    Unbanned but still banned?

    I believe you have not been successfully unbanned and there is still a communications ban on your Xbox Live account by the enforcement team. There is nothing you can do to lift that ban unfortunately if it is permanent, however if not permanent you should
    see your communications ban lifted after a couple of days, weeks, or months even. I hope this answers your question.

    Did you report the person who sent it?

    If so then you won't know if they are suspended or not.

    Same set of rules apply to everyone & have done for years.

    Doesn't matter who starts it,if you reply in a way that violates the ToU/CoC you risk enforcement action.Something you agreed to when starting your account just like everyone else.

    You absolutely right,there is a block feature.So why didn't you use it instead of replying & risking a comms suspension?

    I have the same issue. Ban is not showing up on enforcement page even though an active temporary ban exists while trying to communicate during an online game chat

    Vaynel, quite frankly, if you think that modding doesn't exist, you should be banned.

    Xbox live account when I was in the USA ... now in Canada.

    You can only change regions for countries that were not originally part of the Xbox Live community. Your achievements are still low enough that creating a new gamertag should not be a big issue. If you have DLC on that account, also know that so long as
    that account exists and is not permanently banned you will be able to access that DLC with any other gamertag on the console.
