    Communication Ban


    My eight year old son was playing Smite today online using my account. A gamer named "Terminable" started calling my son names and then sent a message to my account calling him names. I did what any father would and told the person if he harassed my son
    again her would pay. So this person harasses my son through the voice chat, messages my account, and when I respond I get a ban? Not to mention the guy uses the term "Naggers" on his profile page making a racial reference. No one messages me to ask what happened
    or anything, I just get banned. To make it all better when you try to contest the ban online, you literally have to take a quiz first. I did not spend all this money on two Xbox One's to get handled like this. I just went to Amazon and ordered two brand new
    PlayStation 4's for Xmas for my son and myself. Now I know why more people chose PlayStation.

    Being banned twice

    Is one a communications ban and one an account ban? Or are they both communications bans?

    I got a communication ban, while I was already banned from communications.

    I apparently have received a communication ban on my account, while I was currently doing time for another communication ban. How could I have received another communication ban while I was currently communication banned?

    What an online world!

    You should have just reported that abusive player and not responded so you won't get banned, because the reason why your banned is because that guy reported you, but I'm sure his also banned because the enforcement team always check the two sides of the
    story. Calling names and using abusive language violates the TOS which you have agreed too when you sign up the account. And also PlayStation enforces the same rules. You just need to take time and learn them rules to avoid untoward incidence like this.

    Yep,doesn't matter who started it,by responding with a threatening message you have violated the ToU/CoC which is why you were suspended.

    As VampireClaws said,the rules are pretty much the same on the PlayStation/PSN

    Also,calling out gamertags is not allowed on the forums.

    Suspensions are not issued for no-reason, only if it is shown that the rules have been broken. False reports don't lead to suspensions.

    You will need to visit https://enforcement.xbox.com for more information, they don't use the forums for suspensions.

    I feel like my voice is not even heard by you guys for real!!! Hundreds of dollars and I get spit in the face?? It's a game and there gonna be trash talk your taking the fun out of the game for real and that's why I'll go to Sony!!! i may even get legal

    It's good that you are aware of what you did to deserve the suspension and reflecting on it serves to avoid suspensions in the future, yet there is nothing you can do but go through the suspension and read the Code of conduct.
