Communication ban poorly weighted

I received a communication ban for very superficial reasons. While I understand my actions go against the code of conduct, it is very poorly weighted. Why can't there be a chance to actively dispute the claim, to at least defend myself and receive a more
just decision. I should still be able to communicate through party with my friends, even if I can't send messages or do regular game chat, that would be fair.

The lack of an enforcement spectrum and a shallow investigation is just half-assing a quick-cure consumer satisfaction service that shouldn't exist short of handling cheaters and harrassment- I'm sure in most people's opinion the only legitimate reasons
to report someone. This shouldn't be about putting people in time out because a quasi-vulgar word was included in their profile or a message, it should be about solving real problems, like the saturated community that becomes ever more difficult to please.

How about a filter option to be grouped with or only communicate with unfriended players without certain restrictions so people can relax and grind out, be aggressive gamers without worrying so much about being banned for speaking their mind and retaliating?
You know like the "rated M for online interactions", freedom. Many people are just like that, and they're not wrong. Their xbox live experiences dampened because they're forced to be meek with everyone compete with! This is why game-chat lobbies are ghost
towns in every game I've played the last few years. It doesn't have to sound or look nice to be good, but not letting people handle their own experience makes the whole multiplayer gig inauthentic and breeds a colorless gaming community. Give the power to
the players, not the authorities.

(Not sure how to tell how long my ban is but if it's any more than a few days I wish to dispute it. However, the details aren't as relevant as my point here, the real problem.)

Being banned twice

Is one a communications ban and one an account ban? Or are they both communications bans?

 

I got a communication ban, while I was already banned from communications.

I apparently have received a communication ban on my account, while I was currently doing time for another communication ban. How could I have received another communication ban while I was currently communication banned?
