Communication ban lifted but still issues with party chat

Hi,

now I know it's a common problem I have dug around for a possible fix but have so far hit a wall which said "it resolves its self", yeah.

I have powered off my console by unplugging it and leaving it for a while, messed with privacy settings and prayed to the console gods a few times (that ones made up)

it's been a week since my restriction was lifted (I checked the enforcement page) as I can send messages join party chats and hear other players but I appear muted to everyone else which is highly frustrating.

I'm hoping it's an easy one to remedy..hopefully.

hello my name is Bryan I had a communication suspension that was lifted but my communication abilities such as party chat and messaging still won't work please help.

 

I'm having this same issue, i was recently unsuspended about a week ago, and now i cant use my party chat. It's telling me, my network settings are blocking party chat, but it was working fine yesterday. I hope they come up with a fix soon because, I like
to talk to people while i play my video games lmao.

 

Good luck - I've been spamming their twitter feed trying to get help. It's not going to get fixed. Issue has been around forever and the robots at support. I myself am on day 9 with no resolution and that's with me spamming for help every day multiple
times a day.

You essentially have 2 options : get a new GT or buy a PS4. I loaded up a new GT and chat could be used just fine. I've never seen this level incompetence with any company I've ever dealt with in my life.

 

I have both tweeted and private msg xbox support, the reply? Try your account on another xbox..

If this is not fixed soon I will cancel my sub, sell my xbox and buy a ps4 because with out the ability to speak to other players my xbox is as good as a toaster and I will not keep it (I already own a perfectly good toaster)

 

This happened to me as well i have an external hard drive so i tried resetting my xbox to factory settings and that didn't even work. I'm seriously considering getting a ps4. I'm not suspended anymore i want all of my abilities back that i pay 60$ a year
for. I i realize i was suspended but i served my time why is it like i'm still suspended.

 

What I find even more funny is everyone is talking about all these suggestions given to them - I have yet to receive one other than the console hard reset.

I had texted my buddies earlier than I need them to try my account on their box - I'll let you know if that works or does anything. But yeah... I was already at 60/40 on the whole x1/ps4 thing - this is an easy choice for me if this isn't resolved. Been
original xbox customer since launch day way back when - ethically I can't drop them without a reasonable go at it. Right now I'm at 9 days and I said I'd give it a week a couple days ago. At that point - they just dont give a rip and it's time to move on.
9 days is already on the laughable scale at 999999999999.

 

I too have been playing since xbox mk1 when battlefield mc was around and I have never been suspended for anything, all of a sudden boom restricted and after an investigation it turned out some strong words towards two very disruptive players in destiny
got me restricted,amusing.

But that's all fine I understand that I broke the terms of use and got the ban hammer, what I don't understand is that a technical issue is all but ignored by most avenues of assistance given by Microsoft. I'm now starting to think it's a network thing because
that's how they may restrict you some how.

In the meantime try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down then, press and hold the power button and unplug the console. Keep holding the power button until it stops flashing. That should hopefully clear any extra information
on the console.

 

i know bullelky my suspension was "lifted" on the 24th and i can use skype again and send messages and i can hear people in parties but no one can hear me. Its like the enforcement team gave me back all my abilities except forgot to unmute me while in a
party. It seems like such an easy fix why is it so difficult to just give everyone their full capabilities back that they started with in the first place. A lot of people are having this problem and keep complaining its obviously not just a xbox hard restart.
I appreciate the support Onyx but it's obviously a system problem that they need to fix that we have no control over. All i know is they better start paying more attention to fixing this otherwise they are going to start losing customers. I'm paying to chat
and play with my friends not just play i realize i was suspended and i served my time 7 days now it has been 6 days past my suspension that i am technically losing money because i don't have all my privileges.

Thanks for the response and what seems to be a proactive approach to others having this issue.

I read through the posts in your link and I'm not really filled with much hope having this resolved any time soon and this time of year my online gaming increases with the bad weather! I recently bought halo 5 barely touched it since I cannot communicate
with others, I did manage to find a work around but it involves two accounts and two controllers one being broke and having analog stick creep.

I think this hard approach to restricting people is unnecessary at least a warning should be given before action is taken on repeat offenders, knowing you broke the terms of service with a stern warning would I assume scare the younger players into playing
nicely.
