Communication Ban is Ridiculous

I'd like to here your guys' input but I personally think that Xbox Live's non-tolerance of using curse words online is ridiculous. If I am playing an M-rated game I should feel free to curse without having to worry that I'll be a bad influence on a 7-year-old.
Cursing is not inherently bad, it's how you use them. So it should not be an option on Xbox to report someone for bad language, especially in an M-rated game.

Ban?

I was currently on a voice and text communication ban for 14 days for saying the word "****", and that was on October 6th.

Here I am minding my own business with no headset nor text communication and on the 8th of October it said that now I was banned from multiplayer because of threatening messages or harassment? I cant harass anybody or threaten while I'm on a communications
ban anyways. And clearly the word "****" is not harassing or threatening. WTH is going on? How can I get another ban for communicating while on a current communications ban!?!? I didn't do squat XBOX!!!!

This is getting a little ridiculous!!!!!

 

Banned from Online for Two weeks A DAY AFTER A COMMUNICATION BAN. Why? Need Help and Solution ASAP.

I have been suspended for two weeks for "harassment, abuse, or threats". I now am sitting here in utter awe of this because I have been communication banned so I have no idea on how this could happen. This happened ONE DAY after the communication ban so
frankly this makes absolutely 0 sense. Please do not tell me to go to enforcement because I have already done so but due to the absolute ridiculous system of two failed attempts resulting in a 24 hour timer being set is completely ridiculous. I am looking
to find out what possibly could have happened and I am definitely looking to get this resolve ASAP. (P.S. The communication ban is understandable. That is NOT what i am looking to resolve. I am simply looking to resolve the absolute crazy ban for harassment
A DAY AFTER i get communication ban.) (P.P.S. I am ALWAYS in a party chat with a friend or two so vocal chat is not the reason.)

 

The Code of Conduct is made specifically for the Xbox Live communication services (chat, messaging, etc) and
matchmaking.

Just because the game's ESRB rating is "M" doesn't mean you have leeway to violate the Code of Conduct.

 

I'm not questioning whether or not I'm infringing the code of conduct. I'm questioning whether or not the code of conduct is fair. Are we really to expect people playing M-rated games to not curse online? It seems ridiculous to me.

 

While the games themselves are rated M, everything else on Live is to be rated E for everyone.

 

The age rating on a game is for the single player content only & only means someone under that age can't buy the game,it doesn't mean they can't play it & has nothing to do with xbox live.

 

perhaps then it's more of a matter of consistency. I could flag hundreds of players I've played call of duty with for cursing. And I'm sure if you have ever entered the game chat in call of duty or any multiplayer M-rated game, you would encounter several
people cursing online. Xbox live would have to ban a huge amount of their customer base if they were staying true to their code of conduct. So is it really fair to ban a few accounts for cursing when half the people on Xbox live curse anyway? I can hardly
see how that's fair. All responses I have seen so far have had to do with the current code of conduct in place right now. This is not a sufficient answer. I want an explanation for why Microsoft believes that their current code of conduct is relevant anymore,
as so many Xbox users violate their "profanity rule."

When you buy this game is says M-RATED ONLINE INTERACTIONS NOT RATED. The parents need to do the parenting not Xbox live there parents should not be buying this games for the children end of story. If they do buy these games away IT IS THE PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY
NOT MINE, NOR ANYONE ELSE, OR MICROSOFT'S. There is cursing throughout each and every multiplayer game with an m rating. the fact he was banned for using a curse word online in the privacy of his on home on an M RATED (mature for those who don't know what
mature means might want to look it up) is absolutely ridiculous. i would understand if he had threatened to kill someone then i be like yeah ok maybe he deserved it but cursing no absolutely stupid reason to ban someone. for instance here on the forums i can
see why cursing here is frowned upon because even kids can just stumble upon these forums. However the video games have to be bought by parents KNOWING the M rated title has obscene language in it at that point it is no longer our faults or our responsibilities
to take care of that child.

 

For the record no I did not threaten to kill anyone. I was playing a game of Rainbow Six Siege and lost (very badly). The other team was trash talking and I called them "a bunch of little b*tches." Of course they were cursing at me, in fact the whole lobby
was cursing. But they reported me for profanity and I was banned. It was unfair and, in my opinion, an abuse of xbox live's code of conduct. It just doesn't make any sense to ban profanity on an M-rated game. Because, guess what Xbox, everyone curses on M-rated
games.
