How is it okay for someone too call me a **** and tell me to eat **** and die and all sorts of other things but when i stand up for myself and say something back i get a communication ban?? and that player gets off scott free? and the availability to go
and use the enforcement system and ban other people even tho the person has been bullying and tormenting people??? how is this a good system too use? why give people the power when they don't deserve it in the first place and act like that?

Please someone try and make me see how this is a good idea and makes any sense.

    :)

  3. I was suspended unjustly!

I was banned from communications for defending myself against a bully who told me "kys" which means to ****. He said this because I beat him in game. So I repeated it back to him defending myself. This is unjust and my ban should be lifted.

If someone harasses you online just report that person and block him/her from further abuse. Retaliating goes against the Code of Conduct and is subject to enforcement acts.

    Hey Man,

The system works both ways... And you have to look at it that way. Hear me out:

If you are getting harassed or trolled, you have the option to mute, block, report, and seek Enforcement action against those that are abusive towards you. The same is true if you retaliate- then you can be reported for abuse.

Think about it in a real life scenario: You're out in public and a guy starts cussing you out and verbally harassing you. So you go punch him out. You are guilty of assault at bare minimum. It doesn't matter what he does, it matters what YOU do. You
are responsible for your behavior, nobody else.

I know it seems like you got the shaft here, but you have to look at it objectively.. Had you not retaliated, nothing could have happened to you. And you have no way to know if Enforcement took action against the other player, either.

Just remember you always have the option to control your own behavior, and also to report those who are harmful and offensive to you.

It boils down to one key question: Does retaliation somehow make you innocent? (no)

Sometimes it's hard to let people's harassment go, I know. But why lose your own privileges because of them? There's no point.

I hope that at least helps you a little. I know it's almost cliche, but it's true.. Don't lower yourself down to someone else's level.

    Cheers!

    Communication ban

Toxic people who team kill do not have good sportsmanship, but it is not against the guidelines of xbox communication. This is why you were banned and not him. Take this up with the game and the player should be banned, but communication ia different from
    playing unfairly.

    Xbox enforcement protest

Xbox enforcement is fair IMO. You don't need to break the rules to defend yourself. If you find a toxic or abusive player simply report block and move on.

Chat Filters to Stop Toxic Trash Talk

I think it’s a great idea, and that it will absolutely cut down on the amount of toxicity that the average player will encounter.

I hope it also stops more players from being provoked into responding to toxicity with toxicity. It seems like a lot of suspensions come from players who were “defending themselves,” and that often means they faced toxicity in the first place and reacted
in a way that also violated the community standards (and got reported for it). Hopefully these new filters reduce the number of times this situation arises.
