Communication ban details

Now on a 3rd comm ban, I have been unable to HEAR other players even in a party. The 1st ban still allowed me to hear other players, the 2nd and 3rd have CRIPPLED my ability to coordinate with others and I now HATE (realistically, not a strong enough word
for how I feel) not just xbox or certain games or even certain players but this whole backwards world of thugs, trolls and simple-minded, lazy victims who THINK they cant do anything outside of what the "system" allows, or to change the system, because it
requires standing up to the megalomaniacal bullies that put the idea of powerlessness into their heads in the first place, and asking the REALLY hard questions to dissolve the fantasy and face reality.

My question is easy, are the bans supposed to keep the community safe, or are they ONLY about PUNISHMENT and nothing more?

Anyone heard of The Last Hangman, Albert Pierrepoint? After many YEARS of being an executioner, and after withdrawing his name from the list, he made a statement that of all the people punished by death, it changed nothing... in other words PUNISHMENT WAS
USELESS IN CORRECTING THE PROBLEM.

I think I know why there are toxic players.

They have every reason to be angry and have zero care for others.

Are they responsible for being angry, or are they just victims of a twisted system and simply reacting to how the system makes them feel???

The bans for communications violations are both punishment and there to keep the gaming community safe.

By receiving your comms ban you have automatically been punished for your actions, At the same time this keeps the community safe as you will be unable to chat with or socialise with other players on xbox live during the ban.

 

People have been abusive and harass of others since the the beginning of the internet with anonymity and all. People aren't lashing out because of getting banned. If you don't want a comm ban the best choice is to just not say things that will get you
in trouble.

 

How does putting people in a position of anger keep the community safe???

I have been cut off from people I like for 2 weeks (based on a misunderstanding, I speculate) and have had NO escape from the people around me that I can't stand and who ONLY bring more problems into my life (WAY below the poverty line as it is).

How am I going to react to that, not being a sheeple?

WHY IS NOT BEING ABLE TO COMMUNICATE PUNISHMENT ENOUGH?

THIS is the fallout from the advice to "report and move on" and an AUTOMATED response to comm reporting.

My advice?

BEFORE reporting someone be SURE they deserve it, ASK QUESTIONS of the player instead of the now-common, knee-jerk reaction of being offended and seeking VENGENCE instead of JUSTICE.

Bans protect the community and punish the person.
